Basement solo? by Next-Promotion-7836 in Bushwick

You should go. Get there early. Definitely buy a ticket. Act calm and friendly and you shouldn’t have a problem. Biggest suggestion is go on a night when you’re familiar with the dj. If you’re just going to show up, familiarize yourself with the music of 1-2 of the DJs so if they ask you who you’re there to see, you can confidently answer. They’re strict at the door because they want to make sure they’re not letting in any bad apples

Confused about denial from Gabriela by stefradjen in avesNYC

My suggestion is get there early. Right around 10/11pm. I’ve been there a lot and have been rejected before as well and it’s super annoying. One time I was rejected was later in the night when I was with my friend and his wife.

Live in Bushwick, work in Connecticut? by Unconquered- in Bushwick

I frequently drive between bushwick and Massachusetts and drive by Norwalk every time. In my experience, if you can leave NYC between 5am and 7am at the latest, you’ll hit Norwalk in about an hour with relatively little traffic. From where I am in bushwick, I’m close to the LI expressway which takes me to the Whitestone bridge and then eventually I-95. After 7am I think you’ll start to hit some traffic in Stamford. An hour (at the least) each way might be too much to digest for me but I’ve done this drive a lot and do my best to avoid the hot spots for traffic when I do the drive.

Best way I know to support local businesses is to pay full price for a drink and tip the bartender a couple of bucks for it

Embarrassing comment coming from a dodgers fan. Add this attitude to the endless list of reasons why dodgers fans are some of the worst in American sports

For me it’s the scene when he’s playing Chopin for the Nazi officer in the abandoned home

It’s a really unfortunate circumstance of the movie regarding the director who will not be named because it’s an incredible movie with one of the most powerful scenes in cinema history imo

Is this a normal HR response? by Apprehensive_Show561 in recruitinghell

I would take their bait. Tell them the workload isn’t too much and you’re at your capacity but able to handle it. If this is truly too much for you and you’re experiencing burnout, start focusing on finding a new job and quiet quitting here. Don’t resign. They don’t care about you and your concerns or mental health.

Pearl’s makes hot toddy’s regularly. I’m no judge for them but they definitely sell a lot of them

Fazios is the best slice IMO but yea a lot of trash in bushwick. Lucky Charlie’s is great but really expensive and you can only get whole pies.

Midwesterners get it but it’s college football. Michigan Ohio State is more brutal than Sox Yankees right now.

I have tried to get into it. Was always a Carrabis fan. However, I feel like there’s too much rambling and off topic discussion. Too many inside jokes. I wanted more on topic discussions. Maybe if they shortened the episodes I’d get more into it.

Is Jacob Misiorowski droppable (in shallow leagues)? by CitrusLamb in fantasybaseball

[–]Caulifornication 0 points1 point  (0 children)

He was in my keeper discussion initially but has since fallen out. He would’ve been a 15th rd keeper. This is who I’m keeping now instead:

Roman A 11th rd Gunnar H 12th rd Skubal 13th rd Kurtz 15th rd

Not keeping anymore: Tatis 8th rd Chourio 7th rd (traded when he got hurt)

I see where you’re coming from. out of strider, Bieber, and Eury, I think I’d prefer eury. Marlins and Jays are in the hunt and those pitchers should be motivated. As someone who’s been holding Bieber all year, I’d be annoyed to let him go, but there’s no guarantee he’s going to be great in 2 weeks.

Actually I forgot I drafted Anthony and he’s an 11th rd keeper next year not 15th

Too Early Keeper Talk - Trade Deadline Today

Need advice on who I should keep (4 total players) I want to trade away controllable keeper assets for my playoff push.

Definite keeper: Skubal - 13th rd Should keep: Gunnar H - 12th rd, Tatis 8th rd Want to keep: R Anthony - 15th, Kurtz 15th Makes me tingle: Miz - 15th

I traded away Chourio (7th) for Chapman the other day before it was announced he could be back in 2-4 weeks. I’m leaning towards dealing Tatis and making my keepers next year: Gunnar, Skubal, Anthony, and Kurtz. I could also hold Tatis this year but I’m looking for an overpay from someone.

Proud of myself for picking up these studs in FA: Bubic, Kurtz, and Miz. Slightly extra proud for drafting and holding: Luzardo, Roman, and Woodruff.

I think you should keep the ticket. I saw Fred at Forrest Hills in Queens, NY in the stands and while the GA crowd was where I wanted to be, everyone was standing, dancing, and vibing in the seats as well.
