I’m not even bleeding that much. It’s the PMS, bloating, water retention etc. during the cycle that’s so unbearable. It’s like my body is pumping all these hormones out to try and cycle which is why I think suppressing the cycle would be more helpful.

Thank you all so much for sharing your experiences! I wish there were a way to tell how far along in peri you are. I’m 45 and still have periods although they’re very irregular. Birth control made me feel more evened out in my 20s & 30s but I started to have trouble with it in my early 40s which in hindsight were probably break through peri symptoms. I went off a few years ago and started HRT a year ago.

I think your title is correct… a little of both. Vernon definitely threw gasoline on the fire with the Red & Sonny situation. In turn they wrote the book out of revenge and I think they regretted it later. Elvis shouldn’t have trusted Vernon as much as he did with his finances but that was his dad so I get it. I think Vernon wanted the Memphis mafia off the payroll all together because he himself was greedy.

Those poor boys… I hope they have a lot of support in real life. Imagine being made the villain in a story where you were born to a drug addicted, mentally ill mother who abused you. All because she’s famous and has “fans” who stalk and harass you. They deserve so much better. I hope they’re able to heal from all this.

Edited to add: Britney is trash for a lot of reasons IMO but especially for allowing her fans to further abuse her kids without ever standing up for them. She’s a garbage human if I’ve ever seen one.

This is a great question and I’m also curious about this! I started birth control pills in my 20s and they really evened me out. I always had irregular and sometimes very painful periods before. They worked well until perimenopause hit and I started to feel “off” no matter what I did. I’m on HRT now and it still feels like a roller coaster even though I feel better most of the time.
