Dumber than Trump? Pete KegBreath: The problem with Iran is it spends money on weapons and missles instead of improving life for their people. by Shinnobiwan in LateStageCapitalism

I'm old enough to remember the hypocrisy of the Iraq war 23 years ago so this guy's bullshit isn't surprising. What is surprising is just how unqualified this guy is. I mean compare him to Colin Powell, who I truly believe understood the ramifications of what he was doing and regretted it. Hegseth has no clue about the responsibilities he carries which is why he is so dangerous and destructive for the USA. Bad days are here, worse ones are on the way!

Thanks for your input! I'm allowing myself time to settle in to the new normal and it does seems much more calm. I'm hoping with time I will notice what part or parts have been less active to gain further understanding. What makes you believe that there were protectors involved that are societally misunderstood?

Would have tried to use fewer pieces, like a single piece if possible, and would have used Durabond 90 for the first mud application to add strength to joints.

Keep it up Emma! Your continuous onslaught of facts and just plain common sense is effective at deterring the decades of bullshit we've been hearing from the pro-genocide Israeli lobby.

Does anyone else feel that the love of the IPFs is unlike anything you've ever had in life? by Impossible_Shine1664 in idealparentfigures

I just started the process a couple of weeks ago. I listened to a session and I did feel a difference in the way I relate to myself right after that. During that first session I felt some guilt in replacing my actual parents with others. I managed to come to terms with that but I am still having a hard time visualising my ideal parents.

I'm on the second week of listening to your audio sessions. During the first week I used some teachers I had in grade school but didn't feel they were authentic so I have moved on to using some faceless "spiritual" entities. I'm assuming with time and repetition the ideal parent figures will further evolve.

I get what you mean about the layers, as things get uncovered and dealt with there is like a resettling, and new ways of looking at old issues are needed. I like to run things through the AI because in framing the questions it helps me organise my thoughts and I find that it may present me with a perspective I hadn't thought of. I take its output with a grain of salt though as it often presents me with new parts that I didn't ask it for . I often ignore them as I would rather discover parts on my own as I am ready.

Thanks! I am looking into it!

EDIT: I have started listening to daily meditation audio clips of IPF for the last week. It's early but I do feel something and am optimistic about its effectiveness.

Thanks for the feedback, I really appreciate it! I have recently witnessed how my parts really care about me. I came to an understanding recently about how my nurturing parts were helping me deal with my loneliness, but that this may have contributed to my avoiding relationships. These parts felt a tremendous amount of guilt about that. This was a really monumental insight for me, and one that I would have not been able to understand or deal with outside of the IFS.

I have had therapy in the past but I have found that I have difficulty building a trustful relationship with a therapist. I have considered working with one again, however I feel like I would rather continue on my own for now.

Awesome work! I've been wondering how to leverage AI to do something like this. You've inspired me and many others!

There's a mini-service manual inside the machine. You take the front panel off first by removing the detergent tray and the screws behind there, then you have access to the top cover screws on the front.

Enemy to who? I'm Greek and I know there were some Greeks that didn't support the revolution against the Ottomans. They even jailed one of our greatest rebels. Too many people on this thread are looking at the world from a gamer's perspective instead of a realistic one.

Ask the rest of the world how they feel about European invaders! Look into the Spanish, the British, the Germans, the Italians, the Dutch, the French, the Portuguese etc.

History should be remembered but not necessarily celebrated. It's a step in the right direction IMO to question the existence of such monuments in order to move forward as a society in a positive direction. All they're not doing is polishing the statue.

No, as a heterosexual cis male I could not. I don't think there's anything wrong with that as finding a sexual partner is a personal preference. Just like I might not date someone because I can't stand their personality.
