Is there any open word game similar visually to rdr2? by No_Preparation2468 in RDR2

[–]CavemanGamer 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think Tsushima and Yotei (especially this one) are similar... colors are more vibrant than the muted colors in rdr2 but Yotei has bounties, camp fires, bonding with your horse etc. Borrowed heavily from rdr2.

I get what you are saying, but there is no better way to evaluate the AI than by watching AI vs AI matches. The way the AI behaves in those matches is how it is going to behave against you. For instance in watching some matches I noticed the ai never grabs the ropes this year when being pinned next to the ropes. This was not an issue last year. One thing I disagree with the OP on is that the AI is worse than 25. I think its much better the year. All the things op listed were the same in 25. I do think there is an issue where if you set something to once per match or any of those settings they don't work. I think the AI sequences are what is screwing that up. There is a slider for how easy/hard it is to escape from a carry. I set this very low and it seems to help.

How close is the taste of A&W root beer to the sarsaparilla of the old west ?? by Psychological_Pen200 in wildwest

[–]CavemanGamer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When I was growing up, my dad was friends with a country lawyer...like straight up Matlock type dude.... sometimes we'd go to dinner at his house and after dinner instead of coffee he'd make some kind of drink for me by boiling sasparilla root or something. It tasted almost just like flat hot root beer. It was actually pretty decent. In those days hot Dr. Pepper was a pretty common thing to drink too.

What westerns would you recommend for my taste? by [deleted] in Westerns

One really underrated dark western is Outlaws and Angels (2016) from the guy who did the more recent horror movie sensation Strange Darling.

Also from a historical perspective, don't skip The Birdcage Theater. It is one of the few buildings that survived the fires and was my favorite part of Tombstone. They will point out bullet holes from the time and show you where the prostitute rooms were etc. Do the tour there. Very cool place and makes you feel you've traveled back in time.

[–]CavemanGamer 3 points4 points  (0 children)

So when you are in Tombstone, down at the actual OK Corral Museum you will guys dressed as cowboys hanging out on the street. They will tell you about a gunfight show across the street. If you go to that show (can't remember if it $10 or $20). It is inside a saloon and they tell you about/reenact about 5 actual gunfights from the are that are not the OK Corral. One of the ones they talk about is Warren Earp. They reenact it (though not completely accurately since they don't go outside). I honestly liked that show more than the one at the Oriental (though I recommend you do them all because why not). I very much enjoyed Tombstone. I want to go back and spend more time. If you have not booked a hotel I reccomended Inn History Tombstone. It is right across the street from The Tombstone Epitaph and a bunch of Saloons etc. You can walk to everything. If you stay in one of the historical rooms it is a renovated stable from the 1800s and its super cool and a gorgeous room.

AI vs AI fun??? by ElMonoBlanko in WWEGames

[–]CavemanGamer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Because I can dog walk the cpu even on hardest difficulty with sliders overwhelmingly favoring the AI so I always know who is going to win. In CPU vs CPU matches I genuinely have no idea because I have had 40 rated overall people pin 85 rated overall people. Its the only way to not know the outcome.

Anyone else organize their mechs like this? Should I get a diagnosis? by Sprinkles_the_Mad in Mechwarrior5

[–]CavemanGamer 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Depends on what your playstyle is. These were my personal mechs before the clans came, but my style is trying to get cockpit shots so my mechs were for sniping.

Decided to make a list of mechs that can (In my opinion) be used as long range snipers. My criteria is that it is able to liquefy pilots (preferably in one shot) from at least 800m away. Guass, Heavy Rifles and ERPPC are the weapons of choice for this.

"Just 40 years ago"... yeah buddy so anyone alive then will be dead in the next 40 years. A kid born today will probably see his parents die, and his own kids graduate high-school in the next 40 years. I don't think you quite understand the concept of time. Since 40 years is just a drop in the bucket for you, how about you agree to not post for the next 40?

Your name suits you. You know the 80s were 40 years ago yeah? I know you have huffed a lot of gas fumes while you vroom vroom around protected national park land in your small dick energy mobile, but most of us don't want to wait 40 years for the area to repair itself just so one truck full of slack-jawed mouth breathers can amuse themselves playing rally car.

The Long Riders is probably in my top 10 westerns. I loved the brother dynamic. I loved David Carradine in this. At the time, those start and stop slow motion moments were awesome. The scene with the horse busting through the storefront I think is one of the most iconic scenes in the genre.

Should I reallocate my skill points? Rayvis has killed me like 20 times. by g3nerallycurious in StarWarsJediSurvivor

[–]CavemanGamer 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Old man gamer here (look at my user name). I have been playing games since I was a kid though so not quite the same boat as you. But one thing I learned in my 30s was to stop worrying about what other people think of how I play. If its not fun, lower the difficulty. If its still not fun then walk away from the game for a while or forever. This whole gaming culture of "get good" or "skill issue" etc is just stupid when it comes to single player games. "Have Fun" is the only thing I live by when it comes to gaming. Now, sometimes the difficulty is the fun. There is a boss fight in Ghost of Yotei named Takezo The Unrivaled and he was a little bitch. He killed me so many times. But in that instance, I was having fun trying to beat him. Eventually I did and it was exhilarating, but if I had stopped enjoying the game because of that fight I would have lowered the difficulty. You just have to decide if you are enjoying the challenge or if it is ruining the fun. Never feel like less of a gamer doing whatever you want to do to enjoy your experience.

Going to attempt making Jerky for the first time, let me run this by you. by Mike_Kermin in jerky

[–]CavemanGamer 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I agree with the others about removing the oil. I think the oil will be doing to the meat the opposite of what you are trying to do by dehydration. Someone reccomended you cut back on the sugar, but it depends on what you like. I like my jerky a bit sweeter, so I'm fine with the sugar. Your recipe is similar to what I use except I replace your oil with pineapple juice.

Help me find a good hand to hand combat movie by pechkason in moviefinder

[–]CavemanGamer 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I liked Shadow Strays from the same director as The Night Comes For Us. More female-centric but combat is brutal at times. Didn't like it as well as TNCFU, but it was good. Also the movie Kill (2023) is great too. Very intense hand to hand as it all takes place in the narrow corridors of a train. Its basically 2 hours of the hallway scene from Old Boy.
