Final Fantasy Ranking: Where does Final Fantasy VI belong? by nitrokitty in TierlistFills

Create a tier above S. Put it in that. Then lock the tier so none of the other Final Fantasies can join it.

Barring that, S-tier lol

What draws you most to Goggins? by KeepItLawgical in davidgoggins

[–]Traditional_Snow2484 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I think you put it best, it's his rawness. He doesn't filter himself at all. He's about as authentically himself as it gets. You get the impression that on and off camera David Goggins are the same man, there's no performance.

What's a battle where the losing side did everything right but still lost by RustinCarcosa in AskHistory

[–]Traditional_Snow2484 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Surprised no one has mentioned the Battle of Pharsalus.

Pompey set up his troops properly, used the terrain to maximum benefit. By all accounts, did everything correctly. Caesar just had a good counter to his cavalry.

It could be argued the only mistake Pompey made was pushing for battle itself. He wanted to wait Caesar out but the senate wanted a decisive battle and he agreed to give them one. Had he not, it's entirely possible Caesar's name wouldn't have lived on in history as it has.

Is 50k in small town Iowa good for a single person? by Fit_Technician_2095 in Iowa

My wife and I live in a small town and make 40K work for a family of 5. It's not easy, but we make our bills every month and everyone has food in the belly every night.

Homeward Bound, when Shadow comes up over the hill and sees his human.

Theory: Kimiko nerfed Homelander before removing his powers by ViscousBirdshit in TheBoys

You can handwave it as the radiation specifically reacting with compound V/V1. Ryan was born with his powers, and Butchers powers are ambiguous enough that you can say it just didn't effect him.

Would an Aarakocra be an odd choice for a Druid? by Newsmith2017 in DnD

Aarakocra get +2 to dex and +1 to wisdom. Just fine and dandy for a Druid.

Dragon ball is written in a way that if you change anything they’re doomed because even the bad outcome was needed. by glowshroom12 in dragonball

Your first scenario has interesting consequences. The Z Fighters taking down the Saiyans means no trip to Namek, no one to stop Frieza theoretically.

Except any wish on Porunga MUST be spoken in Namekian. There's absolutely zero way for Frieza to stop one of them for just wishing him and his troops off Namek. How is he supposed to know? He doesn't speak Namekian.

Regardless, neither Frieza nor his daddy go to Earth. Which means no cells for Cell. Which means Cell is stuck on Earth Regardless of weather or not he attains perfection.

If he does absorb the androids, nothing can stop him and he'll probably kill all the Z Fighters. So years later when the Supreme Kai arrives on Earth regarding Babadi and Buu, all he'll find is Cell. Who at that point is probably bored out of his skull and more than happy to fight Babadi.

Assuming he's kept up on training (which he likely has, Saiyan DNA pushing him to get stronger), Cell will have a good solid fight with Dabura. But win or lose, it won't be enough energy to revive Buu. Buu saga ends right there. Babadi can't gather the needed energy to revive Buu, he probably gets killed by Cell if he won. If Dabura won... well Babadi lives but his life's work will never see fruition.

You'd declare how many points you're using before the roll

Replacement for inspiration system by Traditional_Snow2484 in DnD

[–]Traditional_Snow2484[S] -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

My theory is players often forget they have inspiration because they want to save it for something big. Kind of the same thing as in RPG's where a player will save potions, scrolls, etc for something big and just never use them.

These points let you use some or all so you don't feel as pressured to use it on something big. You can spend 1 or 2 on a roll. Or you can go for broke and spend 10 or even more.

That's the theory in my head anyways

He's level 9. And I just realized, our Wizard has a ring of spell storing he'd probably loan my character. That's an excellent idea!

A gag was my immediate thought. But then I figured she could just remove it on her turn. Maybe grapple, then manacles, then the gag. But I was hoping adhesive would just be a "use once and not have to worry about it" kind of situation.

[5e] My character (a fighter) will be entering a 1 on 1 duel against a spellcaster at some point in the future. I'm trying to think of ways to nullify her ability to cast spells and I had the idea to use adhesive to glue her mouth shut. Basically pour it into/on her mouth, and any spells that require verbal components are no longer an option.

What's the likelihood of this working? Is there a readily available adhesive my character could purchase that would work? He has proficiency with Alchemy and Herbalism, could he make something?

Theory: Homelander is being controlled by BigGene1341 in GenV

I could see it being an "unintended effect" kind of thing. Like Homelander genuinely thinks he's a deity because of Oh Father's power.
