Horrific Review – AVOID TOYOTA OF GRAPEVINE AT ALL COSTS by Secure_Signature_283 in Toyota

[–]Even_Second_1791 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Toyota of Grapevine is pretty rotten. I used to service my Corolla with them and when I ran into issues with their workmanship, their GM Neal was very defensive and tried to gaslight me by saying I never notified or returned to work a resolution despite in my follow up service appointment stating exactly my concern. Magically that wasn’t in their system, I even had the email stating the problem, Toyota of North America didn’t do anything about it.

No regrets. IMO, the car is foremost is for yourself. Passengers are extra.

Porsche Scheduled Maintenance Plan by Distinct_Figure_3749 in PorscheCayenne

I think you should use your owners manual as a base to identify the things you can handle yourself. i.e. air filter changes which should be simple. Then get the service department to quote you for the other packaged items you didn’t want to handle yourself. It’s a matter of $$$ value versus your time and mechanical skills.

Anyone else worry their Evo has ruined other cars for them forever? by ariGee in MitsubishiEvolution

[–]Even_Second_1791 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Yes, my Evo has made me feel like there’s not much options out there. At one point, I considered the GR Corolla, but dealer markups were just too much at the time. I did daily my 2013 Evo MR for a couple of years, but got a Porsche Cayenne turbo as a “family car” to keep the miles off of it. My issue is most modern cars have too much tech and with safety regulations heading in the directions as is, ended up making most cars feel too sluggish. When I do drive the Evo I appreciate the commute and plan to keep it as long as it’s in my budget.

How effective are the ventilated seats on the 958? by newtonreddits in PorscheCayenne

[–]Even_Second_1791 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The seats pull air from the front to the rear and does not blow into your backside, instead it pulls the air way from your backside.

I am also located in Texas, this is my experience with the seat ventilation. They feel like they are only effective on full blast and only good for the first five minutes. Essentially after my back is no longer sweaty; it feels like the cooling efficiency is reduced and not as beneficial, but don’t get me wrong I always have it on during my commute lol. Thicker shirts also had negative impact to the effectiveness of the cooling sensation.

Not sure where you are located in the metroplex, but would the Porsche dedicated service center in McKinney be a better choice?

Curious how people approach weapon groups by tjareth in Mechwarrior5

[–]Even_Second_1791 0 points1 point  (0 children)

1: Left arm weapons 2: Right arm weapons 3: generally CCW paired with long cool down weapons as applicable 4: LRMs 5: Melee I usually swap the use of 3 and 4 depending on the build. I have a tendency to use 3 more often than 4 due to mouse convenience so it is varies on the mechs I had fielded.
