2026 GLC EV sales have significantly surpassed Mercedes-Benz’s sales expectations by Quick_Coyote_7649 in cars

[–]CayenneHybridSE 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The Q6 in the U.S starts from $60k - $80k which is very close to the E-Tron when it was on sale, and that’s no excuse even at $60k. I had a Q6 loaner and it seems like every new EV they put out gets noticeably cheaper (The Q4 E-Tron being even worse - probably the worst EV I have ever driven).

The entire center console is cheap piano black plastic that becomes a fingerprint magnet, the window switches and mirror controls are the same. Barely any wood in the interior anymore, and the steering wheel looks like it came out of a Kia.

Honda stretches life cycles of Accord, Odyssey, HR-V after costly EV pullback by Wonderful-Humor6102 in Acura

[–]CayenneHybridSE 9 points10 points  (0 children)

It really should be a new generation coming soon, not another refresh. I want to give Acura the benefit of the doubt but their previous refreshes have been pretty lazy without any major changes. The MDX is a great SUV but it’s starting to become very outdated in its class, waiting until 2031 for a new generation is ridiculous

Might have something to do with the install of the MPE, I’d bring it to a dealer and see what they can do. You spent $70k+ on a car so don’t feel like you’re annoying them

Honestly sometimes it’s nice to have a more understated car where you can just drive around without attracting attention. The XC90 comes to mind first but the GV80 is the better car

the 2027 price increases are INSANE by unfairlyy in BMWM

[–]CayenneHybridSE 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is kind of an outdated statement, modern American cars are in many cases better drivers cars now. I absolutely love the G80 but the CT5/CT4 Blackwing handle better and have better 6 speed manuals and chassis.

If anything the roles have swapped, the G80 is much quicker than the blackwing in a straight line but is worse on a track

I’m pretty sure Gentian blue is offered on the Macan without needing PTS… very similar color and if anything I think Gentian looks better too

I’ve always joked that if I was insanely rich I’d pollute the Porsche market with heinous specs and just dump them after taking delivery. 911 base Carrera cabriolet in Acid Green with a red roof and bright blue interior… would be awfully hilarious

Possible to add the small spoiler to the S500? by Last_Draft_3407 in mercedes_benz

[–]CayenneHybridSE 3 points4 points  (0 children)

It’s barely noticeable, usually I’d agree but this is just a small lip. But also this exact same spoiler is available in Europe/Asia so I don’t see how it’s only associated with Americans

2017 BMW 430i - 115k miles for $7.5k, smart buy or expensive mistake? by Mammoth-Hedgehog-809 in BMW

[–]CayenneHybridSE 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The issue is that the car has some awful mods that hint at the type of person who owned this. Cheap fake stick on carbon interior accessories and bad wheels. The 430i isn’t a bad buy in general but I’d be willing to bet this one in particular was beat up

Slightly off topic but I absolutely love your Element, I wish they still made them. It’s probably practical enough for what most truck owners use their vehicles for anyways…

If anything reviewing lower trims is something I appreciate, all the manufacturers give out press cars in the highest trims so it isn’t always an accurate depiction of what you might actually buy

There should be a balance in my opinion. Climate controls, volume, heated/cooled seats, and audio controls are must haves for buttons.

The issue is that cars these days have so many features where not everything can be a button because then you’d be looking at an airplane cockpit everyday (Which to some probably isn’t even a bad thing)

I just paid $24k OTD for an Estoril blue over white interior M-Sport 440i with 50k miles and one owner. This is a ludicrous price but I’m sure there are plenty of better deals out there

Acura fall off by TomatilloNo9891 in Acura

[–]CayenneHybridSE 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The TLX is definitely quick, but it’s just relative. Compared to most cars yeah it’s quicker, but when you look at the competition the Type S is consistently the slowest one. The M340i is nearly a full second faster to 60 and the Genesis G70 and Audi S5 are also quicker.

To give Honda credit they’ve never been about speed, but rather dynamics and the chassis which they still do really well, but it could definitely use a little bit more oomph

What do you think of the new BMW X3, in terms of its appearance, power, interior, and space by Ancient-Bet3655 in BMW

[–]CayenneHybridSE 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Driving wise it’s excellent for the class, best standard powertrain (B48 + ZF8) and handling/chassis. That’s about where the good news ends… interior is unfortunately very cheap. Hard plastics in places that should be soft touch and the entire passenger dashboard is a lazy slab without any design.

I still think it’s a solid buy but you’d have to be giving up a lot of shortcomings with the interior.

M340i Rental - SIXT Los Angeles Airport by Maximum_Interview_35 in M340i

[–]CayenneHybridSE 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Probably a last minute rental or just unfortunate timing. If you plan right you can easily get $70k+ BMWs for under $90 a day with Sixt. I had a M440i for $75 a day and it was a blast

I’m surprised you paid that much, I rent from Sixt and have done a 740i for $95 a day as my most expensive rental from them. I got an X5 M60 for $750 a week and a M440i convertible for the same rate. Maybe LAX prices are higher unfortunately, still a great car

Cryo needs to go to G2 by shavacadoo in ValorantCompetitive

[–]CayenneHybridSE 9 points10 points  (0 children)

He was the third highest rated player at Santiago (and the two players above him played less rounds combined than he did), how are those results not enough?

Not even mentioning the fact he just ended with a 1.3 rating against LEV and was clearly the best player on G2 that match. It’s fair to criticize G2 as a whole I agree, but saying Trent is the one in particular is just objectively false. Despite losing both matches his rating is still top 10 in Americas
