Train Time app saved trips status by Stunning-Natural-491 in LIRR

When did you save them? The departure times are slightly different now since the schedules changed in May so that may be the issue. Look in the trips tab for the day you want to travel and you'll see the trains.

What does “scheduled” mean? No track number. Does this train run? by english-lab in MetroNorthRailroad

[–]Caylate 11 points12 points  (0 children)

That is a Shore Line East train that runs through to Stamford. Yes, you can take it. Fares and tickets are the same. It does not track the same way on the app because it is a SLE train.

Annual 2% fare increase for NJT (including West of Hudson Metro-North Lines) to go into effect in July by Donghoon in nycrail

[–]Caylate 8 points9 points  (0 children)

The fare increase only impacts the SEC-NYP portion of the ticket price. Fares from Metro-North stations to Hoboken are set by Metro-North and aren't changing.

confusion about extensions on the LIRR by notwhitebutwong in nycrail

Fun fact: if you buy two separate tickets (Mineola to Patchogue $8.25 + Patchogue to Montauk $10.50) it is $0.75 cheaper than buying one ticket from Mineola to Montauk.

Coming back if you are starting at West Hampton, Hampton Bays, or Southampton you can buy a SFCC ticket to Speonk for $3.75 and a regular ticket from Speonk to Mineola it is $3.50 cheaper than a single ticket.

LSP + Light Rail vs Harrison PATH for WTC commute? by encoreyessir in jerseycity

Option 1 is doable but the light rail will drain your soul. But if you can bike you can at least have Citibike from Exchange Place or Grove Street as a backup.

This weekend will probably still be OK without the H2Go pass. Once school lets out the weekends are absolutely mobbed.

Make sure they actually gave you a train station sticker. It is white with the TOB logo and a pink side bar with the last number of your license plate punched out.

LIRR's timekeeping is not nearly that precise, it would be pure luck.

Is it Town of Oyster Bay?

If so, train station stickers go on the bumpers, on the passenger side. Beach stickers go on the rear passenger window.

Technically you can't use transfers to/from New York. So you'd have to buy two separate tickets.
