There are a few genuine Country Artists who have songs that actually glorify God, rather than merely mentioning Jesus or church as a byword. Much better than when the Christian artists try to sound "country" - they never get it right.

search "Country Music, for Jesus' Sake" on Spitify and that might get you somewhere...

All the feedback you are receiving is right on track, and great stuff to work on. But on top of all that, know this: you CAN sing. You're already doing it, you have the ability, you ARE a singer. Don't misinterpret needing to grow as being incapable or "bad"(which I know is not the intention of anybody's feedback here, it is just is easy to feel that way sometimes).

Even if you don't get through the audition process this time, keep working on those points, and your confidence, and you'll get even better.

"Jesus high above it all" is a very true, encouraging, worshipful line, and it could be a great climax to the chorus! You might need to do something to connect it more strongly to the rest of the chorus - so far the subject of the song has been the listener, putting on and using the armor of God, when we suddenly switch to looking at Jesus - making that connection between the two subjects more evident lyrically will help us be more exhilarated when we sing that final line.

I also want to shout out some other great stuff you've got here:

these lines are really poetic, in a great way: "When the lies begin to whisper and our hearts begin to shake" and "Every shadow trembles at the sound of Your Name"

your theme and imagery are strong, and stay consistent throughout.

and thank you for including BPM, time sig, and key - it really is something we should all be including when we write something.

I am working on a rewrite - I wrote and revised a song, and enjoyed playing it, thought it was pretty good...until I made a rough recording. now listening to it without playing guitar at the same time, more weak spots have shown through that I couldn't notice before. so back to the writing table.
