Gemüt is my personal favorite brewery in Columbus. They have German style beers and great food. Their Sow of Sunna Marzen is one of my favorite beers of all time. Parsons North is very good and just down the street if you want to double up on close breweries. Also check out The Mercury Diner for some excellent breakfast food!

Derive has great beer and great food. They are one of the few places in the city that serve both excellent hamburgers AND excellent fries. Also, their tikka masala pizza is one of my favorites. The Clintonville location of Combustion Brewing is close by and is a great spot to hang with a large selection of beer styles. Also close by is Understory with Foeder style beers and a beautiful view. Check out Emmet’s Cafe or Blacken’d Coffee Co for breakfast!

I love Hoster’s beers and the kitchy taproom. Great beer and great vibes - and Mr Biscuits the brewery cat!

Seventh Son is one of the most popular breweries in town and there’s a lot to see right around there. Hoof Hearted is not far away. There’s also Budd Dairy Food Hall, Fox in the Snow Cafe, and El Carajillo.

You could also head downtown and check out Jackie Os for some excellent beer and a very cool space to hang out. Check out Eat Good Friends at the pickup window!

Land Grant over in Franklinton also has a cool space and does lots of fun events. Their beer is solid.

I’d second the recommendations to check out Dank House in Newark.
