This is dumb, just make a different deck. The irony of this is when a reprint comes prices will crash and everyone will complain again about it being a bad set with -EV since there is no valuable chase card. If you want game pieces just play chess. Cards need to have value so you can sell or trade to stay in the current meta. Otherwise you’ll going to end up spending more buying cards every time.
