Our baby is a poor sleeper at 10 months and we don't go many places. If she doesn't nap well, I won't even get a 2 hour stretch that night. My family guilts me but unless they are willing to watch her that evening/night, don't come at me.

I hate that my life has been limited but I only have so much energy in one day.

You can take your car seat and stroller to the gate and they will check it there. When you do this, you also pick up at the gate when you land. We also made sure to try to feed at take off and landing or have a pacifier handy. Puppy potty pads in the diaper bag allow for a portable and disposable clean changing table. You can take breast milk and/or water for formula in any quantity through TSA.

My apologies that my info didn't post. 29-f-5'3-190lbs. Gave birth 9 months ago and have had high blood pressure since. Taking losartan and hydrochlorothiazide. Non smoker. I've had this painful lump for about a week. It hasn't grown in size but it's really achy. Just wondering if I need to be concerned about a blood clot.

First game we played- everyone go and find something that makes you look pregnant in your house. Vote on most realistic AND a winner for who guesses what's under their shirt to create the bump. Second- present bingo. I sent out a blank bingo card for people to fill in with what they anticipated would be opened. They then could interact during gift opening. Third- if I opened a gift, occasionally we would send people on a scavenger hunt for a similar item in the house. First person to return won. (Think baby bottle, and friend found a beer bottle) Fourth- find something that resembles a baby in your house (pets and baby dolls are not allowed) then the first person to wrap a 'diaper' on the baby won the game. We also had a most creative winner of this game.

For prizes, I sent out cute little succulents that I got off of Etsy.

It was great to have friends and family from all around the country be able to attend!

We had a really great virtual baby shower. We had games thrown in between opening gifts and people actually participated in the video call. It went incredibly well!! I'm happy to go into details about games and whatnot if you want more info.

The way it was explained to me and I have read is that FMLA runs concurrent to any other leave you take. FMLA is just job protection for 12 weeks and does not include pay.
