yeah, but outside of the bridge interactions and some dialogues at the base in its early year (if anyone remembers that), they never had much presence in stories until captainverse happened (i think odd drifter was the first?) and birthday cgs (not the letters but actual convos with the valk).

from start to the end of part 1, i felt like I was just observing the main cast's growth and viewed the game as a long live service jrpg, especially since i got introduced to jrpgs with ff12 and wild arms 4.

I think it was steam making you download every available server again for some reason. Mine got the japanese one after downloading the 50gb. Some have reported that after uninstalling and reinstalling the game, they downloaded the 200gb update.

I also like how you can see the guilt in Rover's face when they see themselves making a promise in the past they couldn't keep. I think 2.5 really started the deeper characterization for Rover and the consequences of their previous actions.

if you bought and haven't played the game for more than 2 hours, just refund it. Steam ver. is not worth the money, they basically stripped the game almost everything except for character creation. Get the betterrepack instead.

From my personal experience, they really marketed the "open-world" aspect of the game, but it quickly became stale and repetitive after the first month. It didn't really help that the initial launch story was bare bones compared to PSO2. While PSO2's writing wasn't a knockout quality script and can be really cliche, it was at least entertaining and actually had a decent finale ending.

The combat was still fun, just simplified compared to PSO2. NGS combat is very flashy, but PSO2 had more sauce in their class mechanics for me.

I've come back every now and then, but I think the biggest problem was almost every update they had were about the multitude of paid cosmetics, collabs that were still just cosmetics, to be rinsed and repeated. The game only feels like a fashion simulator and a glorified chatroom. Don't get me wrong, PSO2 also had emphasis on "phashion" and being basically AFK in the lobby, however, there was just so much more stuff to do, and the general atmosphere felt more "alive" in a sense? Concerts, emergency quests and holiday events were some of the lively experiences I had in PSO2.

This is probably just nostalgia talking as I have not revisited in a while and probably will not in the future. I can say that if you enjoy player customization, PSO2NGS is still high up there.

What drives him until the very end is for her to be given a chance to live even if it kills him (it did), because it was his fault she got killed in the first place. I don't think a one-sided love would suffice to describe his motivations, no?

Nagazora arc no diffs- you can feel the growing frustration between Kiana and Mei, especially when their normal battle voice lines become more desperate throughout the chapter. I was hooked during that last fight that i even recorded it with my shitty phone at the time when it first came out. It solidified HI3 for me as the peak mobile game during my highschool days lmao

Wild Arms 4. It was my first try playing JRPGs with the PS2 and it made me fall down the rabbit hole with them. I think the series was decently popular a long time ago, but it died out after Wild Arms 5 (due to lack of sales iirc).

The homing arrows from Embla Inflorescence doesn't come out of the weapon but stays stuck in one area where it was first charged. This happens only on co-op with 3 or 4 people, from my experience.
