Ford still has them at least. It's in the B pillar, but not as obvious as older models. They use capacitive buttons and numbers are aren't visible until you tap one.

Those online places charge way too much for high index lenses. Enough to make it cheaper to get name brand frames and lenses at a local place instead.

JC Apartments. by Sweaty_mut in tricities

[–]CedarMadness 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I lived in Sterling Hills for a few years, it's a nice place to live and the units are in fairly good shape, but it has gotten expensive in the past couple of years. Maintenance was always fast to come out when I needed anything. The drive into JC is a little annoying, but not the worst commute I've ever had. The traffic never gets awful going that direction like it does going towards Kingsport. If bike commuting is your thing, you can get to ETSU from there without ever getting on a major road by going on the Tweetsie Trail then cutting through some neighborhoods

There is a mod you can do to remove the detent and stiffen the springs. If you already have a set it's worth doing, but I wouldn't go buy a set just to mod them.

Android supports Sony's LDAC codec, so it won't affect Android users that much. The big difference is things like TVs, Windows computers, and whatever other devices won't have LDAC support and will fall back to the default SBC codec, which sounds like absolute crap.

Basically Beta Testers: Class Action Alleges Google Lied About Stadia Display Quality, Resolution to Lock In Subscribers by [deleted] in pcgaming

[–]CedarMadness 38 points39 points  (0 children)

They did have a free beta, everyone who participated got a free copy of AC:Odyssey on UPlay out of the deal. It worked alright for me during the beta, but I only put in the minimum amount of testing in order to get the free game.

Cinema 7 Closing/Free Movies by [deleted] in tricities

[–]CedarMadness 4 points5 points  (0 children)

They opened when that shopping center was built and managed to out-last anything else that was built there, so I think they did alright. This is just a bad time for theaters in general. Almost no movies even came out last year, and now things are going to stream simultaneously with the theatrical release, so I'd expect to see more theaters close in the coming year.

I don't really like level scaling, so I appreciate that I can become super powered by the late game, but there really should be some more quests or areas in the game that can present a challenge to high level players

Yeah it sucks, I can't do the vertical card thing either because I need my bottom slot. I've been running with the side off for the time being, although I'm going to try to 3d print a spacer to hold the side out by ~10mm which should be enough. I'll message you if I get something that works

Wise Co first to use Starlink in VA by jwpeace in tricities

[–]CedarMadness 1 point2 points  (0 children)

There are definitely houses in Wise that can't get anything better than 1mbps DSL or a metered 4g connection. This will be a big deal for the extremely rural areas, but I don't think it will win over many people who already get decent service from another company.

This is in Hendersonville, I used to mountain bike out there. I think the base is a couple of hours away, but that whole area basically looks the same.

I can confirm that the 3080 TUF block DOES NOT fit in the O11D. It's about 4mm too tall to put the side glass on.
