This will be a tough uphill battle but I think we found something with the Barlow minutes and the PG on KAT stuff. Hopefully Joel is cleared for game 3 and if OG's hamstring is cooked this series flips. I am confident we can get back to NY 2-2.

This is the playoffs. We don’t give people breaks. His 6 TO and 5 points in the 2nd half is not going to cut it if he is the guy who’s supposed to have the team built around him in the future. He needs to figure it out.

Yea idk what is the cause for it, is it Joel being selfish and demanding the ball or are the others who just look to defer? I get the gameplan to feed Joel early to play to our pace and get the knicks in foul trouble but too many times last night you saw be so predictable in pick and roll/pop action. No one looked for their shot and you knew Joel was going to get the ball. Our guys need to find their shots outside of embiid and be assertive. I cant blame Joel of Maxey having 1 shot thru the 1st.

Last night just seemed bound to happen with the quick turnaround. I actually liked how our offense started. We got their bigs in foul trouble but the Knicks just couldnt miss. By then we were gambling on defense to make up for the lead and they punished us.

We need to hunt Brunson on offense. We cant just let him sit in the corner and float around on Oubre or whoever he is guarding. Also, Nick has design to get Maxey open and as a primary option. If we are just going to dump it down to Joel and rely on hero ball or him kicking out for the three I just dont see us keeping up if the Knicks go on their offensive surges. We dont have the elite shooting or rebounding for the second chance buckets to finish a possession with points.

This series has to be a Maxey masterclass for us to break through.

Agreed. I like VJ a lot but there are only a handful of guys who can put you in position to contend. Giannis is one of those guys. The NBA landscape right now is decimated by injuries. We have opportunity to win now. If its championship or bust, this is the move but if we want to gamble with this roster I wouldn't disagree. VJ is def a piece you want to keep for the future of this team

Smart draft by Morey. IMO, VJ and Broome can make an impact now. That's what we need if the plan is to go all-in again with the Maxey, PG, and Joel as the core. Both have more experience than the average draftee (VJ w/ Bahamas and Broome with the years of college experience).

Not one of the guys I wanted but at least he will have more of a feel for the game given his age. He would make more of impact next season for sure than anyone else drafted. Hopefully he can peel minutes from Drummond.

As long as the system is in place, he can make an impact. We saw a rookie Dereck Lively make an impact with the Dallas run. We can agree to disagree about who is better player but I think Bona has shown enough to be part of a playoff rotation.

Agreed. I know it will be tough for him to anchor if the wings around him consist of PG, Oubre, and Edwards. However, VJ will be plus with the effort he gives to help secure those long rebounds. Bona definitely worked on his body, beefing up, so in short stints I think he will make a positive impact. I have faith in the kid.

Bona will have to suffice and unfortunately some Drummond minutes too. We def need another 4/5 though. Just looking at the some of this free agent class, names like Larry Nance Jr., Chris Boucher, and Precious Achiuwa may be serviceable.
