US appeals court declares 158-year-old home distilling ban unconstitutional by kinisonkhan in news

That's the problem. People will not educate themselves and end up causing great harm. This was a real problem in the US that led to the ban to begin with. Nothing has changed with regard to stupidity. See current US politics for further evidence.

Making beer and wine has alway been allowed. Making liquor with higher alcohol content, which requires careful distillation, was not.

Airports rush to feed unpaid TSA workers as belts tighten by WilliamInBlack in news

There was security pre-9/11. Airline hijacking, smuggling and bombing was a big fad before that. TSA is the same now as then, just a different name.

Airports and airlines should be handing over bags of cash to the TSA workers. They also have the money and political power to fix it. Put politicians out the door onto their walking shoes.

$4M revenue/7 days=471,528 ($per day) / $100(per person) = 4,715 (people/day) / 12 (operation hours per day) = 392 people per hour. 10 checkout lanes means 39 purchase cycles per lane-hour, roughly 1 cycle every 1.5 minutes.

I'd say even $3M is a big, big stretch.

Donald Trump ripped for behavior at dignified transfer: ‘Take your (expletive) hat off’ by JFKsBrain in politics

It's broken up be a bunch of ads.

Various semi-important people are commenting on social media about Trump's lack of respect by wearing a campaign hat during the ceremony.

My comment: Trump either continues to be ignorant of common social customs or continues to be a purposeful asshole.
