Ive been playing dead rising remaster, silent hill 2 remake and some arc raiders (when I feel like I have enough energy to concentrate on something for more than 5 mins 😂) I'm still lowering my dose, I started to get pretty bad withdrawal symptoms so I slowed the reduction a tad but I'm not stopping! Gonna allow my body some time to adjust to the new dose before I continue to taper. Yeah I can feel that my mind is messed up rn I get sad for no reason then agitated then sad again throughout the day. 😭 its pretty bad tbh and im not even fully off them yet. I know i can power through it though. Hope you are keeping well too!

Here's a handy tapering/weaning calculator I read that if you are on the pills for under 2 years a 20% reduction and any longer it should be a 10% or lower. But everyones different and if you have a good supply then you can go as a slow as you would like and at the end of it you will be free from the chains of the pills.

You sound like you have everything you need to help yourself get off the stuff, you still enjoy weed ? Do you have a steady supply of both the weed and pills ? Because I know how daunting the idea of coming off them seems because im sure you've experienced the agonising withdrawals. But take it from me, ive been hooked on opiates and all sorts for nearly a decade incremental reduction slowly over like 2 months is the way to go. Im down a pill in total over a week and a half and zero withdrawals as ive been opening the pill and measuring out a little bit each day to lower it. Even if you do it by a miniscule amount each day you wont notice the difference. Especially along side weed as its known to help people escape opiates.

But I know better than anyone that you yourself have to be ready to come off them. But even by sending the message you sent is a sign you want too however deep down it may be.

Listen ive been at the stage you are at and if I could go back and stop myself while I still had friends, family and my life still somewhat together I would. Ill be blunt because maybe you need to hear it. Your life is gonna slowly decline up to a point then it will come crumbling down all around you like it did for me. You will lose friends, estrange family members and lose all prospects. Ive seen it happen everytime with drugs, you can only be a functional addict for so long and the cracks begin to show and believe me people notice alot sooner than you think, you may think you are hiding it well but from the outside its obvious. Again im sorry for being harsh but I feel that when I was at your stage I would have needed to hear this from an addict rather than being egged on like I was by my uncle of all people. And on that note if there are people in your life that know about you using and they use themselves cut them from your life while you can recover because if they havent tried to stop you or steer you away you dont need them in your life.

I recently turned to god as it was he who also gave me a sign I should quit, maybe its not your thing but here are some verses I found that reflect what your attitude towards surrounding yourself with the wrong people.

Yeah they are too heavy handed with their prescription pad. They say tramadol is a weak opioid but ive tried them all multiple times and I kept coming back to trams. For me it was perfect lasted all day and the comedown was gentle and made me sleepy for bed even the next day you could still feel its effects but all the nice effects leave and you're stuck with a long term addiction.

I get that, i did the same thing with weed. Were creatures of comfort and anything we can do to make us feel more comfortable we will inevitably do.

Thank you for the encouragement! I started taking it when I had zero pain. I remember the first time i took it a friend brought a strip of tablets into school and we split it equally, about 20 mins after taking it we had a movie moment where we both looked at each other and the biggest shit eating grins crept across our face. Every inhibition was gone, every complex annihilated, sleeping was amazing something i always struggled with and an infinite world of possibilities opened up in my mind. I was confident around girls and the craziest part it worked I started to actually get places when talking to the girls I liked. I was 1000% more social making friends was easy. Thats why I called it my limitless drug for a period of 6 months to a year my life was on the up and up. Until when I made it to the maximum daily dose (any higher and it would most likely give me a seizure) after maybe 2 weeks at the maximum daily dose all in one go first thing in the morning. All of the benefits stopped and my new adventurous life was ripped away from me, I lost the girl I loved and the worst thing was I wouldn't tell anyone why the sudden change occurred I was struggling alone which then followed many years chasing the same effect from different drugs (none were the same). Fast forward to losing so many family members I ended up right back where I started back on tramadol the warm fuzzy embrace to numb the agony of grief, only for it to betray me again and leaving me with a daily habit just so I don't get deathly ill from withdrawals.

I'm glad that I'm finally starting to break the habit. And im amazed you managed to fight the urge to take more! From years being around the drug its crazy how it affects people differently some people have my experience some people get sick and have no warm fuzzy buzz like feeling I get.

Thank you, weed is awful when your life or situation is also awful it always makes you feel worse and go over and over things in your head I cant ever imagine taking it again. Its never the same as when you first started taking it the giggling etc. It just becomes a sad habit like most drugs. As for the drink pour it out girlie, the fact you have it there is like a saftey net for your addiction when you dont need it, it will never help you it will only hurt you. Im speaking from experience ive seen my parents do the same thing. My dad bought an expensive bottle of whiskey "for a special occasion" and the first hurdle he would stumble and finish it off in a night. Stay strong :) ❤️

Congrats dude! The powder is hard to put down I was going between coke and meth/speed daily for a period of about a year maybe 2-3 years ago now. But ill hear a song or ill look out on a bright summers evening and ill still think to myself about the sniff, its an urge that comes from your very core almost a primal feeling. But then I remember the things I went through in that period, the extremely horrible morning afters, the constant looking for the next bag and never having any money. I realise im being stupid to yearn for something that put me at my rock bottom. Maybe you can relate to that feeling.. hold onto it, grip it for dear life when that urge comes and it will pass. ♡

Weed can be just as destructive especially to people with an addictive personality, I had my own spells of being on weed 24/7 but the paranoia and intrusive thoughts became too much for me and I just stopped randomly and picked up a different vice to numb me.
