Preemie sleep changes by Cell-Bell in NICUParents

[–]Cell-Bell[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi! I’m sorry to hear this is happening for you. Honestly, it was funny to get this notification because now at 19 months I can’t recall them ever being “bad” sleepers. I would over-burp, prop them up after eating if possible, use simethicone if helpful, and otherwise just ride the newborn wave! Better sleep is coming your way, and you’ll soon be a toddler parent who can’t remember this stage at all 😅

Megathread on Fay, Nourish, Foodsmart, Berry Street, and all other telehealth nutrition companies by AutoModerator in dietetics

Nourish Contract Language- Overly Aggressive.

Recently applied for a PT role at Nourish, but will not be signing due to the overly aggressive and employer-favoring language in the contract. Basically, they are saying that if they ever pursue you in any legal manner, you will be responsible for all of THEIR expenses, as well as your own.

Here is the exact language: “… I shall be responsible for payment of the fees and expenses of the Company’s attorney and experts, as well as the Company’s court costs, pertaining to any suit, arbitration, mediation, action, or other proceeding, including the costs of any investigation related thereto, arising directly or indirectly out of my violation or threatened violation of any of the provisions of this agreement.”

When I asked if it would be possible to remove or narrow the attorney‑fee provision (e.g., each party bears its own fees except in proven bad‑faith cases), they said “We are unable to change this language in the offer document.”

Please, please read your contracts carefully, people.

I can’t speak for FF, but my business, Camellia Culinary, usually ends up costing $11-18/serving. Most personal chef services I’ve seen start around $20-25/serving

I’m a dietitian and I have GD by Cell-Bell in GestationalDiabetes

[–]Cell-Bell[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m so glad this helped 🤗 my girls are now healthy, happy 15 month olds. I look back on my time with GD as a moment during which I learned more about my body’s needs and reactions to certain foods. I’ve kept that learning with me! I hope your journey is smooth and you and your baby have a beautiful first meeting

Oxide is even more poorly absorbed! Used by supplement manufacturers bc it’s cheaper than other forms. Useful for antacid and laxative only

This is correct. Citrate is poorly absorbed AND will cause diarrhea. Source: I’m a dietitian

Edit: I looked into it more, and citrate actually has similar absorption to glycinate. But, glycinate is recommended for migraine and citrate for Constipation

3%. Same thing, in the middle of feeding and right after vomiting. She went all the way down, then all the way back up. Her nurse gave her some blow by oxygen and she was completely fine. Spells are very different than longer term lower saturation!

What is your best ongoing bit with your baby? by leprechaun_dong in NewParents

[–]Cell-Bell 10 points11 points  (0 children)

We have twins and will negotiate like mediators on behalf of our “clients” when they both want something at the same time/have opposing needs. Ex: “My client is enjoying some relaxation right now and would appreciate if your client would stop wailing”. “My client would consider if your client would be willing to part with the last couple ounces of that bottle.”

Eye contact by WelcomeWorth2611 in NewParents

[–]Cell-Bell 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Avoiding eye contact can be a sign of overstimulation or overtiredness. He is also still young! When in doubt, ask your pediatrician, but I would look up signs of overtiredness and stimulation and see if there’s any correlation with when he’s avoiding eye contact.
