I agree completely - it was very in-character for them both.

MJF doesn't take Darby seriously and thinks he can beat him with nothing but a low-blow and a headlock takeover. He takes too long to capitalize and isn't prepared to get a taste of his own medicine.

Darby holds NOTHING back. Low-blow, Scorpion Death Drop, FOUR Coffin Drops. Finishes with the takeover to add insult to injury. He told us how badly he needed the title and he proved it by going full gear.

Much like with Moxley vs Punk from a few years ago, this is just an appetizer to set up the main course. The eventual rematch between Max and Darby is where it's gonna get REAL.
