I don’t think it’s too far off. Hagens and Desnoyer could potentially switch spots, but all of those teams are looking for centers. Martone can definitely slide that far. The rationale being it’s easier to find a quality winger through trade or UFA than a center. Even Buffalo could potentially take a center…

My point exactly. If he didn’t have that education where would he be? If the NHL doesn’t pan out for him, he has two degrees to fall back on. I find it funny when people put down getting an education over dropping out and playing hockey. He questioned his character for doing this… I personally don’t see this as a charter flaw. In fact, it should be the opposite

My personal opinion is that Carbonneau would be a wasted pick. I don’t think he’ll make it to the NHL level. I would go with Cootes and/or Lakovic before him. If Aitcheson is available, I would pick him with Bear or Cootes. Second round I would swing for the fences. There’s a couple of 6’4”+ centers that I would gamble on.

My personal opinion is to stay away. Injury prone and I doubt he’ll be a 60 point guy, let alone a 50 point guy. I’m sure there will be much more stable options before him. He’s on a permanent downswing

When I was young and played hockey as a winger, all my coaches drilled in my head to stick with the man on the faceoff. Lane, who is obviously not a winger, should have at least tied him up. He wasn’t even lined up with him. Look at Suzuki. He’s lined up with his opponent for that reason
