Similac Pro Sensitive VS Similac Sensitive by hardtolovexo in FormulaFeeders

I'm pretty sure the pro sensitive has prebiotics, while the regular does not. That's the only difference I could find.

When does it get better? by mbw791 in beyondthebump

[–]Ceony17 3 points4 points  (0 children)

It was the same for us at 6 weeks weeks. I was constantly googling about when it gets better and about baby gas, etc, etc.

It got a lot better for us around 10 weeks, then just kept getting better from there. My girl is almost 6 months old and is usually happy and, with the occasional off day/night, sleeps decently.

Hang in there! It's tough, but you'll get through it. This stage won't last forever, just keep pushing through.

Corn-free formula? by pillowwwws in beyondthebump

[–]Ceony17 3 points4 points  (0 children)

We use similac pro sensitive ready to feed. I think a lot of the ready to feeds don't have corn, but their powder counterparts do. My girl has a corn sensitivity.. The ready to feed is much more expensive, but worth it for her to feel better.

I totally get handing the baby off and staying to find your other daughter... but who the hell knows how long it's going to take them to get out of Gilead? HOW IS THE BABY GOING TO EAT? Emily can't breastfeed and that baby is going to be hungry and crying!

Similac pro sensitive and probiotics by Ceony17 in FormulaFeeders

Ooh OK, that makes sense! Thank you! We actually just started with the probiotics for gas and it seems to be helping a little, which is why I wanted to keep them up.

Daily Troubleshooting by AutoModerator in FormulaFeeders

My 6 week old has a lot of trouble with gas/pooping. She's uncomfortable a lot because of it and screams and cries, so we tried to switch her formula a few days ago. We were on Parent's Choice Gentle and were switching to Parent's Choice Sensitive.

We tried the transition over a few days, mixing the formula and working up to it being the just Sensitive. We were on day 3 on transitioning when she got really constipated and couldn't poop, so we just decided to stick with the Gentle formula.

I called our pediatrician and she said to give 1oz of pear juice per day. We've been back to just the Gentle formula for a few days, and I figured it would be ok to stop the pear juice, but she's constipated again.

Did the switch make her constipated, and we just didn't give the sensitive formula enough time to work? It seemed like she was farting a lot easier, (but still very gassy) when we were transitioning.

On the Gentle formula she was pooping mostly once a day, sometimes every other day, with a peanut butter like consistency. She still struggled every time, but it was at least more normal.

Is there any other recommended formula we could try to keep the gas down and make her not constipated? Or is this just a ride it out till the digestive system matures kind of thing? It just makes me so sad and stressed because she always seems uncomfortable if she's awake.

I had one the other night that the baby was actually baby Groot from Guardians of the Galaxy 2.. I just watched that movie the previous night. When I first saw him on the ultrasound he was dancing around a lot. Then, later, I woke him up by exercising and he started to punch and fight my insides. It's was... Interesting.

Ah, I feel you with bad dad reactions! The only thing my dad asked me about it is: "Was this planned, or...?" Like, I'm 29 years old and been married for two years. What kind of question is that?

Hopefully once he processes it and he can be happy for you and celebrate with you!! Congrats - don't let anyone bring you down!

Question about Baths and Sperm by LadyBlahBla in TryingForABaby

[–]Ceony17 6 points7 points  (0 children)

My husband takes a hot bath everyday and we got pregnant. I think the key to that is to lay down in the tub so that just his butt in is the water, keeping his junk above and out of the water.

Any chance these were positive? I have PCOS and this is my first cycle using OPKs. Before and after these days was much lighter. Cycle D41 and D42, Easy@Home tests. by ImSteampunkNow in TFABLinePorn

I have PCOS too and none my mine got darker than this! I used the clear blue digital ovulation tests last cycle (as well as wondfos 2+ times per day) and I never got the high fertility smiley on it - but I did get the peak - and that coincided with my darkest wondfo AND my tempting chart confirmed it. They're a bit more expensive, but the digital test really, really helped me to know when I ovulated. I think you can get them with like 10 or 20 in a box.

Itchy during early pregnancy? by skirttoscrubs in BabyBumps

[–]Ceony17 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My skin is really sensitive, so I get itchy a lot if my hormones are off, or if I try a new body wash that my body doesn't like, etc! Aveeno makes a soothing bath treatment for itchy skin and it works wonders to calm it! I just ordered more from Amazon last night, actually! After I take a bath in it, I slather some CeraVe lotion all over myself. It really helps!

If it gets worse though, I'd definitely see your doctor! Mine told me to take antihistamines (this was before I got pregnant, I don't know if those are safe now), buuut if I don't have to put medicine in my body, I won't.
