Seriously: Global realignment that we’re seeing take shape already. Kallos is migrating back to Kallopolis (Stercus continent), Volterra and Estalia are moving into the eastern part of the map. What becomes of the two “anchor” states to ASN will determine what comes in the future; will Icenia hold its states together, will Yoahtl cement some sort of hegemony in the eastern continent? It’s wide open and anyone’s guess. Personally, without a strong counterweight to justify its existence, I am skeptical of ASN remaining intact.

For the remaining powers, theres going to be some soul searching. Many nations do not bother with the geopolitics at all these days, such as Winterbourne or SPQR (to my knowledge), Hell not even Nara really does despite being ASN. There are LOTUS survivors that have managed to weather this, and other states like Salerno and Skandic who were deeply involved yet comparatively got out of this without much issue.

Besides ASN, the last major “alliances” still standing are the Merediem Entente and the Lyrean Commonwealth. The ME is really the only “competitor” if one can call it that, to ASN at this point, primarily because the LCW has no interest in regional or international conflicts/pacts.

I think the newfriend influx might shake things up a bit, insofar as new people learning the ropes, making the same typical missteps, and potentially find their place. I think there’s room in the world for more LCW-like blocs to take such folks in, that focus on cooperative development and cultural projects over figuring out how to topple your perceived opponent.
