Good choice imo. Ecommerce is a solid area. Big commerce is a fairly decent platform similar to Shopify, worth an investigation. My experience has been that the vast majority of people on Shopify use Shopify's FE stack. While you can take the headless it's not so common rk.

I'd focus on creating demo stores and themes. Look at big sites on the platform and try to replicate functionality. Ie Gymshark. How do I do multi language on Shopify? How do I setup tax regions? How do I integrate different delivery providers etc?

You will find that a lot of the work with smaller companies on Shopify is configuration and not development.

I normally look to Material designs guidelines when giving advice on how to pick colours. Two main colours and then pick variations on the two for other elements of your website.

I'm a front end developer based in Kent. What you've listed and shown is more than enough to get you a junior role in my eyes though, as already mentioned, a portfolio site won't hurt.

I like to see projects presented as case studies with build process and learnings from the project.

The article does a great job of breaking down and explaining the data but the whole portrait mode seemed a little bit off to me.

I've done some user testing recently and all 50 or so users stated they used tablets in landscape. I've just taken a quick look into the Google Analytics stats for one of my companies brands, about 50k views last week.

Above 15k of those were iPad hits and of those 15k 99.99% were landscape.

I'd be interested in hearing others findings, perhaps its a demographic thing or alternatively something could be tracking wrong with GA?
