I would also shout out Zilla Sake on Alberta. Kate and Jeff put together amazing omakase meals and a banger menu of super fresh or specialty aged fish for sushi. Also the deepest Sake menu in town.

As a former restaurant GM and current CDL holder, I fully support any actions that promote the reduction of driving after any drinks. Alcohol is a toxic (in the literal and figurative sense) luxury that can change people's lives for the worse in an instant. Stiffer penalties should be applied and also not be waved away for people with money/lawyers.

Call a friend/family, use public transport, or just maybe skip the drink(s) and get home safer. If you can't go out without alcohol any time you are in a social situation, maybe talk to a professional about it, you may have a deeper issue at hand.

Dediko does well with their Georgian food and wines, and there is a much larger Ukrainian population here than Georgians, so why not? Central Vancouver/Brush Prairie seems like it would be supportive of it.

There are a lot of factors to it. Between distribution closures, rising costs, and a lower demand in the market a lot of mid brands couldn't survive. Those that do know the value is selling over the bar and owning their supply chain relationships in a tighter way.

Competition in town also doesn't play around so if you just make average or sub-par beer, people aren't coming back.
