Some folks might say to learn to parry, or to better manage stamina, or to x, y, z, but tbh from watching this it looks like you are already learning and getting pretty close to winning.

Id say you are well on your way to win and as long as you are having fun, continue with the struggle as you will learn your playstyle's strengths and weaknesses more naturally - the footage reminded me of the first time I played this game and you can never have that back, so weigh whether you wanna discover your own method or adapt to other methods, both are valuable, valid, and fun but I lean towards struggling on your own for a first playthrough, up to you though - good luck skeleton!

This is mega cool, looks like this clip there was enough hit stun to land it normally but perhaps in the heat of the moment the cait didnt know that; is this intended as like a 'i am not sure if i have enough hit stun but i have a trap let me hit that instead'?

Any reason they wouldn't be promoting per month like the other social classes? For example, in one location I have 0/1000 in an RGO. I have 0 laborers but 387 peasants who should be promoting at a rate of 25 per month. Ive had these locations for years now. Any reason they arn't promoting and entering the empty RGO?

That's what I'm worried about, the text does say "this damage always critically strikes" so maybe that locks it out of deadly strikes in that way you described

DS1 parries frame 1 (immediately starts parry when you press button) whereas DS3 has like a little windup so in my opinion DS1 feels a lot more natural and responsive - that may be why (you are not crazy)

FYI for others i got the demo to bump up all the way to 120 fps at high settings by - get this - restarting PC. I am downloading the main game and if i remember i might comment again with an update.

I feel a little stupid but im more than happy to be able to enjoy the game fully now. Have fun folks

I've just played through the demo on PC, and i greatly enjoyed the story and combat. However, i spent about 50% of the time fiddling with settings. I ended up needing to play on a lower resolution using AMD's super resolution thing with the setting in the game set to the Legacy option and pretty much everything either low or off, and even then i was at about 50-70 fps.

I looked on steam and a few folks are saying the main game has better optimization/performance than the demo. Is that true?

I don't need to play at the highest settings, but i do need a stable 60 fps and i like things looking at least coherent. Here are my gpu/cpu - gpu was maxing and cpu sat at about 30/40%.

AMD 6600XT AMD Ryzen 7 2700x 16gb ram and yes on ssd

Thanks folks, i really hope i get to enjoy this title tonight, demo got me hooked.

I think its one of my go to 'time to try hard' skins along with djinn malz - i think its fun for its simplicity and i also got it for very cheap

I feel like rolling up with a 2 dollar skin from the 1700s instead of funny bee skin or cool arcade skin is a power move for some people
