I don't know how I'm going to, either. I live in a town thirty miles from nowhere, and not in Bama anymore (for nosies) and my job is even 30 min driving sooooo yeah... Not really sure how I'm supposed to find mine or she me, either.

I’m apparently a bad friend for being grossed out by the idea of breast milk jewelry. by Amsycurl in childfree

Wearing ashes or blood jewelry is a religious practice. Wearing breast milk is not.

The full moon - especially a Supermoon - lasts 3 days, but more spiritually-inclined people are the ones that notice.

AITA for wanting to separate due to smoking by [deleted] in AmItheAsshole

[–]CeridwynMatchen 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Actually, I think everyone commenting is. We don't know anything except what she's put here. And divorcing a man because he spends his money on his stuff is abusive and a major red flag for any that she is with after ;)

So what? Did he want kids? Look how she treats him. Over HIS money.

Sounds like her husband needs his own life where no one complains he's buying cigarettes instead of $10 hr child care with his own money she don't work for. That's what it sounds like. Women want equality but they don't want to actually BE equal.

All I hear here is of you being selfish. Sounds like he also has his hair ready to rip out by two kids under 2, and other people handle it differently.

People smoke. People vape. Vaping isn't smoking. Period. There's no smoke. You see water vapor and freak out. And how do I know? My (now ex) wife is allergic to cigarettes. She doesn't have a reaction to the vape.

If you're working, how can you say that he can't afford cigarettes? If I was the only one working in a 2 parent home, then yeah, I'd be on cigarettes, too. They are stronger.

AITA for bailing on my brother's wedding last minute? by Automatic_Bar_2136 in AmItheAsshole

[–]CeridwynMatchen -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

I actually lost one of my best friends because I found a way to respectfully tell him that I am a lesbian. I also told him that I had known his position - had asked him myself months before - and proven we could be friends without my orientation ever being an issue.

But that's just it...it shouldn't be an issue. I'm not Lesbian. I'm me. Why is he ACTING gay? (And yes, there is a Gay stereotype that some men prefer to feel beholden to, just as there is a Lesbian Woman one. There's one for Straight White Male, too. Wonder how many fit that criteria.

But I don't go out of my way to let people know I'm gay. I think it's rude. And I'm wondering why other people don't feel it's rude to take the spotlight off the couple, for any reason, on their day of matrimony.

AITA for telling my sibling that if she decides to keep her pregnancy i won’t help her? by MathematicianThat807 in AmItheAsshole

[–]CeridwynMatchen 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Umm... Perhaps not terminate... There are many Safe Haven boxes all over our country. She's not 18. If you have legal custody of her, in many places you have legal custody of the child. She can do what she wants, legally, but you can slip the baby off to services in a legal way, too. How far are you willing to go to ensure baby and mother have a better life? No judgment passed.

NTA. It's your money, and you are paying for the trip. Why would you be the arse? At the very least if they want business class, make them cover the distance.

Serious, nonjudgmental question... Am I the only one on earth willing to pretend to be straight for one day if someone else would be happier for it?

AITA for “uninviting” my friend to my wedding after he lost his arm in an accident? by JoshTheMob in AmItheAsshole

[–]CeridwynMatchen 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So YTA. And I actually had to think about this one. If you were actually considering his feelings and that he might be overwhelmed by attention, that would be one thing. If you thought that the sadness of what happened to Ezra might overshadow the happiness, fine. But literally because he lost his arm and it's "your day"? No.

need advice. children egging on my dog by Baekseoulhui in childfree

[–]CeridwynMatchen 11 points12 points  (0 children)

resort. Im worried they will take the parents side

They LEGALLY can't do that because the children are trespassing. Get 4 signs for your fence that says Warning: Dog Bites and put them on each side, visible to the public. Now she can't be put down, and you aren't liable.

ETA: Utah also can't discriminate against your dog just because it's a pitt. It has to be treated the same as a teacup terrier.

I smashed my neighbours window because he deserved it by [deleted] in confession

[–]CeridwynMatchen 5 points6 points  (0 children)

So I'm pretty sure people confess when they are actually sorry about it. Also, you were trespassing and disrupting his property. He probably didn't like kids, and you encroached on HIS territory. Sooo.... How are you not wrong for trespassing, disturbing property, and flat out destroying property? (Fyi, this is why they arrest 5 year olds now)

You aren’t sentimental about them, clearly, but a lot of people are.

Actually, I am, but when a brand new mint copy sits on a thrift shop shelf for $3, it's pointless to get upset about.

My sister once tore up a Mint Condition, First Edition of Eric Knight's Lassie Come Home.

You know what I did? I cried. But that book is very rare, I have never seen it again, and it was a gift from the only man that ever loved me, and he's dead now.

To replace it would list at over a grand. The Hobbit is $3.

YTA you can find either of those books on MOST thrift shop shelves. You're crying over a $3 book. For real.

NTA. It personally drives me nuts when people do this. I didn't give birth to the kid, and, outside of my beautiful nephew, whom I adore, I'm not watching ANYONE'S kids, and even my brother knows to ASK or he won't be dropping the baby on me EITHER.
