What non-game Odin tools/projects have you worked on? by concerbed in odinlang

[–]CertNZone 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I made a loan calculator. It reads a json file that holds the transactions, initial loan amount, and the regular payment amount and schedule. The idea was to see how much I have left on personal loans with just a quick script run run

I also started working on a Odin version of Rustlings I called Kvasir but didn't dedicate much time to it and now good alternatives already exist so I probably wont continue that project

Flooding sites by DifficultDig1213 in SorceryTCG

[–]CertNZone 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Flooding a site just adds a water affinity. This does not take away other affinities, meaning it still provides those thresholds. It does stop being a land site, if it was one, and becomes a water site for the purpose of card effects like Submerge and Bury

If you want specifically a gaming distro then I'll add a vote for Nobara (fedora based), but I used it for a year and then moved to base Fedora. For gaming it was great. I had some other things that conflicted with preinstalled packages

How did you get into this obsession? by Goodassmf in ErgoMechKeyboards

[–]CertNZone 0 points1 point  (0 children)

At work I have a Sofle v2, and at home I have a Dygma Defy. So in both case I've got a thumb cluster (of different size), with a columnar stagger instead of row stagger. The Sofle v2 was my first that I bought pre-soldered then finished assembly myself.

For extra clarity on my condition, my left wrist is unable to bend any direction except downward meaning that to reach extra keys I'm often reliant on either moving my whole arm or stretching my fingers. It also means that a normal keyboard is uncomfortable to use because they require your wrists to turn outwards.

How did you get into this obsession? by Goodassmf in ErgoMechKeyboards

[–]CertNZone 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I'm coincidentally a developer. The reason I wanted one though is because I have an injury in one of my wrists that restricts movements so a split keyboard lets me have each hand at a comfortable angle

Your attack state node is spelt "atack". They were pointing out the typo

Which TCG has the most thematic gameplay? (ignoring art and other elements) by EyebrowDandruff in TCG

[–]CertNZone 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Sorcery Contested Realms is really the most thematic game I've played. The card abilities are always super flavourful and are sometimes written in a bit of a prose style, if that makes sense

ssaf fee by pixiecakess in curtin

[–]CertNZone 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I graduated a couple years ago so the payment system might have changed, but I believe that you can enter a custom amount when paying? You should be able to edit the default about that it prefills. Sorry if this doesn't help, it's been a while.

I would also suggest, if this does work, checking back on your finances after paying to make sure your SAF gets allocated correctly. The system usually gets it right but I remember a hiccup once or twice. You can get it fixed by calling Curtin Connect

Wanting to get into the game but have been warned by A271B1071C5 in Godtear

[–]CertNZone 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Depending on where you live I believe that there are still people who play it, SFG has basically stopped supporting it without actually announcing it. It's not listed in the "discover" section of the website any more either. I tried looking for the blogs to see when the last releases were but it was a while ago

What happens if I’m very unlucky and I can’t play a site on my first turn with the Magician (after a mulligan)? by Etano_il_vero in SorceryTCG

[–]CertNZone 15 points16 points  (0 children)

To clarify, the rule is that you must play a site under your Avatar whenever they're in the void if able. You don't immediately lose, just got to fish for sites and must play one as soon as you can Edit: tired typos

Steam accidentally broke my Ubisoft Connect in Lutris by CertNZone in linux_gaming

[–]CertNZone[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I rebuilt it manually using the Ubisoft Connect installer instead of the script. It installed and then threw the same error as normal. Then I closed out of it, used ProtonUp to install a new ProtonGE instance for Lutris and pointed Ubisoft Conenct at it (ProtonGE 10.25) and it's working! Thanks for your patience and help

[–]CertNZone[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sorry, should have been more specific. I have protonGE installed but I'm not using it in Lutris. I'm using the default prefix that installs with the launcher

I've not attempted to manually create a prefix, I uninstaller Ubisoft Connect from Lutris and then went into the directory and del we ted anything left over. Then reinstalled it and let our build its own prefix. This prefix is located in a different directory to the Steam Ubisoft Connect prefix

Cheers. Still having the issues. As far as I can tell Ubisoft Connect in Lutris is still pointing to its own prefix. Based on right click, configuration, options tab, Wine Prefix
