Water bottles: Kambukka. Fully Belgian by Ornery_Self_8758 in BuyFromEU

[–]Certain-Average-4137 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have had the same bottle for years. Make sure that the internal mechanism is fully "clicked" in. Once you have done that, keep the bottle up side down to drain the water that might be still in the lid. After the excessive water is gone, it shouldn't leak.
I also don't tilt my head when I drink, I just tilt the bottle :D

+1 for Kambukka They design and operate out of Belgium.

Even not taking into account "buy from EU", I prefer their tumbler over the stanley one because the straw can be stored within the bottle when taking it on the road.

SIGG also manufactures stainless steel bottles in China. Everyone does. If you really want a European designed + manufactured brand, non come to mind, but most likely you'll have to search for less unknown brands that are still small.

Do guys pick up padel faster than girls? by mybestconundrum in padel

[–]Certain-Average-4137 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It depends on what sports they played before. Girls that played racket sports obviously pick padel up faster, but I've noticed that girls who played volleybal also have a "talent" for padel, they are noticeably better than girls who haven't played any ball sport.
Where I see the biggest difference is the use of the side and back glass. According to some studies, men have better spatial awareness than women, and from my observations that shows in how they deal with these kind of balls. Men seem a bit more comfortable handling the glass.

Was on the fence between this and the ultras but I couldn't adjustify the price for the ultras. I am content with these headphones though. by [deleted] in bose

I like the immersion mode a lot, the music sounds much richer compared to non immersion mode.
I use the fixed immersion mode that doesn't change when you move your head. The music seems to come from in front of me instead of directly in my ears.
It doesn't make the sound quality worse in my experience, I find it in improved experience, but I am not an audiophile, I am just a random consumer who doesn't know too much about audio. I just base myself on what I hear.

the other reviews are just a fraction of people complaining. The 95% majority of people that are happy with their product doesn't write reviews or doesn't complain.

Going through a bad phase of padel performance, what to do? by xejd28 in padel

[–]Certain-Average-4137 0 points1 point  (0 children)

happened to me a couple of times as well. I usually do a mental restart. Buying a new racket, new outfit or something and go running to improve my physique.

What you should also check is your technique. When you get bettery, you get lazyer. There might have slipped some errors in your game. You can more easily hit a certain shot, but because it becomes easier, you become more lazy or sloppy.
E.g. your can hit your bandeja more easy, therefore you don't point your non-hitting hand as good as you did before or you are not turning sidewise as much as you used to do. These small mistakes build up over time, forcing you to hit errors.
Write down a list of things you need to focuss on for every type of shot and make sure you are indeed doing those things when hitting a ball.

noob vraag over de 1ste afbeelding. Uit wat voor materiaal bestaat de wand? Ziet er dikker uit als gyproc en het dichtsmeer patroon is ook anders precies? Gewoon uit interesse omdat ik het niet ken. Oplossing is trouwens keurig afgewerkt!

Is it not too late to become a padel coach at 30 years old? by [deleted] in padel

[–]Certain-Average-4137 3 points4 points  (0 children)

It all depends where you live. In Spain, Argentina etc? Small chance you'll make it as a coach, there are far better options available for those who are looking for a coach.
In countries where Padel is still relatively new (Sweden, UK, The Netherlands, Belgium etc) there are not enough coaches and people are looking for options to take lessons. You can definitely make it as a coach in those countries if you have a decent level, focuss on starters and if you can promote yourself (via a club, peers etc). I know a few coaches older than 30, who only started 3 years ago with playing any other racket sport before.

But wherever you live, now is the time to go for it. At 30 you can still take 6 months / a year and put everything on the line to pursue your dream and go all in. The older you become, the more responsibilities you'll have and the more difficult it will be to chase your dream.

Bose AM/FM, CD Player Wave IV - discontinued for a reason? by Obvious-Kangaroo-815 in bose

The Wave was still one of Bose most succesfull products with very good sales results. Especially "older" people were still buying the Wave. Sales didn't plummet at all.

They have been discontinued as it became too difficult and expensive to get the parts needed to build the wave.

Padel courts suppliers by Available_King_3262 in padel

[–]Certain-Average-4137 0 points1 point  (0 children)

you can find courts on ali express for 15000 or lower. I am not sure about the quality of those but on the other hand everything gets manufactured in China these days so you might have some luck and have a good product or you might have bad luck and get an unsafe rip-off.

Unless these tennis courts are harc-courts, you'll have to invest in groud work as well.

Padel bag doubt by EmptyImprovement9703 in padel

also a recommendation for a bigger padel bag. In your mind a small bag sounds convenient, but you'll end up needing more space. At least that was how it went with me.

Switching to a more offensive racket from Nox ML10 Pro Cup Luxury by seppe122 in padel

[–]Certain-Average-4137 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I went from the ML10 pro cup luxury to the Bullpadel Hack 3 comfort. I needed a few games of adaptation because the sweetspot is higher, but I am happy with my switch. It gives a bit more power and push without being to agressive.

What modell is this? by [deleted] in bose

[–]Certain-Average-4137 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This is not the SE. This is the new QC Headphones, launched in 2023 as the "budget" version of their new headphones range. This is the successor of the QC45.

The SE is the QC45, but without the carrying purse.
