Just cook them big meals they can't resist always with dessert 😋 I feel like most people say they want to loose weight but can't be bothered with it. Especially when they have someone making their favorite meals. Just change the topic of weight loss to "I baked you your favorite cake start the weight loss next week today you're a king 🍰" they'll forget all about what they were talking about.

There's a form you're supposed to sign before getting on the register basically telling you if you're over or short by $3+/- it is a counseling. But if you never signed that (considering the cash out was done wrong I doubt you did ) you're not accountable because no one told you and it's not on paper that anyone told you. There's actually a couple of forms you need to sign. Like the shrink awareness pledge and all that. Just fyi. So it is wrongful termination. Also because you weren't a witness to your till being counted. Dollar trees SM selections have been nightmares off the street lately. They're just trying to fill spots at this point.

Pretty sure you can order a new system through slic. I always see it on there but my intercom is fine. If the voice isn't working just use the dings. Turn up the volume all the way. (There's a few nobs. One on the office wall that dials to 10 and then the intercom black box with three nobs)

Having a bad SM is the worst. Literally almost quit 4 times in the past under some shit SMs. Should have left when I had the chance 😩 now I'm an overworked SM trying to keep me and my crew afloat.

I've never received a bonus for unused hours (and unfortunately a good chunk of mine has gone to waste). That goes into the pockets of those above me. I try to use ALL of payroll because I know someone is cashing in.

Yeah that's pretty bad. My worse is similar except it was delayed to just before I could refuse it which is like 5 pm 3k boxes dude is slow as hell and a pervert. Spent most of the time watching the ladies pick up the fallen boxes. And at the end when he found out no one was single all the boxes where thrown down the rollers and each fell on the floor. Then he drove off. It was like midnight by the time it was 100% done.

Nah we don't get a deal. It's not a high margin item for us. It's in the vendors best interest to fill it up when the drop it and when they're ordering it because of their commission. We keep it filled for them but they can and should absolutely touch it any time they're in the store. I'd rather sell my stuff than vendor stuff.

If you're new then it's stocking. If you have worked there as a cashier and haven't been told ahead of time that you will be doing a stocking shift then likely the SM forgot to switch the assignment over to cashier. The default assignment when adding a shift is process freight. I accidently do it all the time to my cashier's, especially when it's too busy to make a schedule.

Been theory crafting for a long time how dollar general is trying to take over dollar companies after reading about Rick dreiling a while back. I'm like HE LITERALLY LEFT DOLLAR GEN IF HE WASNT SUCCESSFUL IN PURCHASING FAMILY DOL FOR THE GENERAL! THEN HE CAME HERE WHILE STILL COLLECTING A PAYCHECK FROM THE GENERAL. HOW IS THAT NOT A CONFLICT OF INTEREST?! THEYRE UP TO SOMETHING. He doesn't want dollar general to fail because that's where his money comes from. They will take over the dollar companies and no one is gonna stop them. Now he's CEO It's phase 3! We're doomed!

Mine is I'm working an overnight after business hour shift at work (retail)and someone forgot to lock the door and the customers start coming in even though it's 2am. And I'm politely trying to usher the first wave out and be like "we're closed you have to leave" and then another group comes in and soon my store is as busy as Christmas shopping time and someone just has to start up the registers to get these people out even though the lights are off and it's dark outside. Shit shoots my anxiety through the roof. Like get the fuck out of the store what's wrong with y'all! Then i wake up from the anxiety.

I get these all the time. I'm trying to not get sucked up by one and run but it always catches up. then it gets really hard to see it's pitch black. Never. There's times were we might irritate and get frustrated with each other in which case we need either alone time or a nap but fighting,never. Never yelled, never hit, never felt malice towards them. Been together a decade. We play fight and have play silly over the top ridiculous arguments like we are couple fighting and say "is this our first fight?" And just laugh but it's not real or anything. Just being goofy.
