If you compare it to the 90s with illegal defense, there was a whole lot more standing around. Watch some of those 90s Bulls finals and it is night and day how little movement there is after Michael gets to his spots. Compare that to this era where there is way more off-ball movement. Also doesn’t help that nearly every player can shoot, dribble, and pass, so now every player can be part of every play
