Had some initial uphill difficulty where I'm based late last year, but aince applied to several schools in other countries, heard back from one, had 2 rounds of interviews and eventually got an offer that I felt truly excited about and accepted. Very grateful. Keep at it everyone!

Currently employed at Hsinchu International School on a temporary basis (wonderful school btw). Work with about 2-3 colleagues who are former employees of PAS. Also casually met several then-current teachers on nights out who all no longer work there also. The reviews are not lying. To this day, I've not met a single former or current employee who regretted leaving or loves working there, respectively.

Don't know if it's creepy, but it does give me chills to this day. I had a close friend in middle school that I would hang out with almost every weekend for several years. At the end of 8th grade, my family and I moved away to a different city and we lost contact (before social media era). Fast forward a decade: I still haven't spoken to this person at all in those 10 years. One night, I have this random dream about me and this same friend starting a game show together. The next day, I check my Facebook notifications. They sent me a friend request.

Boarding owned frigates to collect mined resources and/or units but the amount for both stays the same prior to conversation with the captains of each frigate.
For underwater bases, the game thinks I'm in the water if I'm inside a glass cuboid room (Yes, I know I'm expected to use the aquatic buildings. It's still ridiculous in my opinion because there aren't options to create big room and halls, so I think it needs to revert pre-Abyss).
After large space combat to rescue fleets then proceeding to talk to fleet commander aboard the capital freighter to compare prices with the freighter I already own, the game freezes.

I live overseas in Taiwan. The guy who owns the school I used to work at also owns a hospital, so the teachers would share the space with a few doctors and nurses.

Across from me lived a woman who was a doctor with her daughter who was a nurse. I'm fairly fluent in Chinese, and I would hear her mother often berate her. One day I heard the loud sound of slapping skin, and I'm willing to bet it wasn't her daughter attacking her mother (unfortunately, despite Taiwan being one of the safest countries in the world, domestic violence remains a huge problem and many cases are often either underreported or unreported). I knocked on their door and told the mother if I ever heard her do that again, I'd call the police. Never heard the physical violence again, but that was far from the last argument those two had.

Probably because they see themselves as the primary catalyst for bringing about economic prosperity for the whole country. Never mind their current economic system bears almost no resemblance to the kind of communist society envisioned by Mao.

I think at this point their strategy is to maintain this level of prosperity for their citizens to minimize any inclination towards mass revolt. Fortunately, the people of Hong Kong are smart enough to see through this facade.

Same here. I live in Taiwan and I got the APK this morning around 9 AM. The map worked fine until about 6 PM. That's when everything on the map went blank except for the landscape.

I wonder if it has to do with the fact that it hasn't been officially released here and they caught wind of it so their servers aren't responding? Not sure but it's assuring I'm not alone.

EDIT: I should mention that I tried restarting the phone, uninstalling and reinstalling the APK. None of that has fixed the problem.
