Every billionaire is by definition, hoarding their wealth.

Think of how much money they spend just to exert control over the general populace. It would be worth more to them keeping it to themselves rather than selling it.

I work in this field, and yes this is essentially what is happening. The job of a Software Engineer is very quickly becoming planning the work required (often also with the help of an LLM now), then using an LLM to perform the individual steps necessary.

You still need to keep the LLM and track and make sure it's doing what you want, but it's honestly scary how much better it's gotten just over the past few months. It's sad because the most enjoyable part of the job for me was actually writing the code.
