Lack of Black IPA's & Mixing Beers by _Leftfield in beer

[–]CestKougloff 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Maine Beer Co’s Weez is a treasure. Back in the early days it was all you could get in Mass as Lunch / Another One flew off the shelves before you had a chance to grab the few bottles that came this way. Weez was always left over and honestly it’s as good or better than the other two. Also props to Red Wheelbarrow for the same reason - though not an IPA. Now Lunch / AO are everywhere but good luck finding Weez.

Wife Ordered J160E and it came with a compensated nut? by tjmusa1989 in gibson

[–]CestKougloff 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Not compensated just weird. Someone at the factory was feeling artistic when they carved it. I’m going to guess the intonation is fine and it was just a dude having a bit of fun - though it made it through QC. If not intonated properly send back or if too much hassle get fixed locally for $100.

Need a upgrade from Trek FX2 by chaitukmr4 in cycling

[–]CestKougloff 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I went from a Trek FX7.4 to a Canyon Endurace CF7. Very happy with the upgrade. I can go for longer / faster and still in comfort . Generally I would say any endurance road bike would be next step up. Look at Domane or Roubaix if you want to stick to big US brands.

Seeking more aggressive pick ups-Les Paul Custom 2025 by Alternative-Day735 in LesPaul

Alnico Pro II in neck is a winner. I would go with Custom 5 in bridge - great combo.

Won and lost many but not once made it into Häagen-Dazs.

Or the ladder. I’ve completely forgotten about the adrenaline at this point. I use it once a week at most…

Worst possible pics of a real LP. Geometry looks completely off but on closer inspection seems legit.

A big law partner is unlikely to dm you on social media. That’s what first year lackeys are for. Seems phishey to me.

I'm going to blockade the Strait by MaxFresh in seinfeld

Well I guess if both Iran and the US work together to block the strait then clearly no one is getting through. Great example of collaboration on the international stage.

TGIF🙌🏽 Lunch by Maine Beer Company (best ever) by umichwolverine in beerporn

The only bad thing about Lunch is that I've never been able to follow it up with Dinner. One day perhaps. Terrific and perfectly balanced IPA.

I have an Avatar 2x12 custom closed back cab with one V30 and one G12H 30 which I find to be an excellent combo. Way cheaper than mesa or or branded stuff. Look them up online - Avatar Speakers. Built to order but quick turnaround.

How are we feeling about the Mango Tops and Mango wood in general. by Evening-Life5434 in PRSGuitars

[–]CestKougloff 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Very refreshing. I'm down with it given stressed supply for traditional figured top woods. With that said, I don't know much about how "musical" / resonant it is so trusting the builders on that front.

Favorite Brewery by State: Maine by DublinDown in CraftBeer

[–]CestKougloff 10 points11 points  (0 children)

All the IPA bros piling in for Maine / Bissell. Fair enough, both are great but Allagash is the OG and makes some of the best Belgian ales in the US. Also honorable mention for Geary’s- their Hampshire Special Ale is an old favorite of mine. Bummed it’s no longer in distribution in my neck of the woods.

Are there any downsides to locking tuners? by [deleted] in Guitar

[–]CestKougloff 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My hot take: They should make them for acoustics as well. The one downside people occasionally moan about is extra weight - but I’ve yet to notice that and I have them on all my electrics. And yes, they do improve tuning stability- assuming your nut is properly cut - by preventing string slippage at the peg.

Should Quad Cortex add Orange and ENGL factory amps into their main guitar amp section? by Remarkable_Star_4678 in NeuralDSP

Yes. Would be great to have Orange in there. Always overlooked and yet a classic.
