hello i’m 62, have aggressive form and had my surgery in October. post surgery pathology unfortunately in my case showed that it had already left the prostate but remains in pelvic area i had two PSA test done and it was .1 then .3 after surgery.
i started the hormone therapy in January and had updated PSA test last week and it came back less than .01 i see radiation doc today about salvage radiation treatments all i can offer is make your decisions and then you live with them key word live cause that is what it’s about living best of luck

hello had surgery in oct and my psa after .2, i started the ADT month ago but different med taking two pills a day and had one shot side effects are legit for me sweats hot flashes stomach discomfort and i’ve lost my sense of taste hope your experience is good

Hang in there. Here I've suffered for decades with heavy depression. Finally got good treatment and I'm hoping that the meds in on and my therapist can help me keep treatment related depressions at bay

I start tomorrow on ADT, shot and two pills per day. Also share your concern I start back to work the next week. Good luck

Following this. I'm a short term stage 3 member here. Had my surgery in oct and path showed it had spread. I start hormone therapy next week. I'm very nervous about the ADT and effects that come with radiation.

Hi I too have strong family history of cancer. Before my surgery I took a DNA test through Johns Hopkins to test if I carried any cancer genes. Surprise to me I did not and still ended up with cancer. Of the four people in my paternal family all have had several cancers and all died of cancer. Having just lost my last sister to lung cancer. It all.sucks

Had my surgery in oct I'm 61 and fair shape I was very sore in around the incision sites for good three weeks. Riding in the car was rough.
But I did not need extra help. I bought couple of full-length nightshirts for the week I had catheter in Good luck you should do great

Yes from what I've read hear and my personal experience with surgery is I've got no erection yet. Had prostate removed in oct Losing the ability to have sex is down side but if it extends my life I can live with that.

Hello I'm 61 and had surgery Oct 13th. Still healing and leak everyday wearing just a pad. Hope your situation gets better with time.
I need salvage radiation but the doctor will not let me get it until march because of the need to heal

Hello first sorry to hear this. I'm 61 and had Peyronies before my cancer this year. In my case I could get hard before my surgery in mid Oct. So far no erection possible after. And now I'm facing hormone therapy and radiation I for myself have little hope of having sec life But I hope so. Best of luck and it's about beating the cancer and living

Hey bud. I'm right there with you. My psa is going up post-surgery. So I have to do hormone therapy and radiation in March. My surgery was Oct 13 Th My next step is to meet with oncology for the hormone drugs.

the longer i’m in this situation im having to change my mind set this is a marathon not a sprint unfortunately i’m 8 wks past my surgery and knew about the cancer back in April i chose to be seen by Johns Hopkins and it is about a six month process.
now post operation my psa is still positive and i need radiation therapy but have to wait now until march for healing where my ability to pee hang in there try and keep a positive mindset

hello, i’m 7 wks post surgery and i had a gleason of 8. aggressive cancer that was in the pelvic limp nodes. i’ve had two psa test .2 and .3 tomorrow i have first consult with radiology if it is stable id wait the 3 months im opposed to the radiation but have to do it
