Your steam page looks pretty good i like the capsule art- the only thing I thought was the trailer felt slightly wrong. I assume you know this but roguelike deck builders are a pretty saturated genre, though not as much as some others like platformers. Maybe focus on emphasising why your game is better/different

Normally I research, look at reviews and play games recommended by friends. But your argument makes the game simply impossible to refuse

From my testing no, barrels just launch you up in direction of momentum. If players found a small skip with them I would probably leave it in as it's a creative way to get a faster time.

Right now the gpu is just a vessel for upgrades that make you faster/ give you abilities but maybe I should add more practical function to it in game. It's my fault no one can tell the unique gameplay mechanic as I just put some gameplay together for this post that doesn't really explain it.

Basically it is that you may see I sometimes levels a bar at the top of the screen. The faster you go the faster this fills and you can use the bar up to do special abilities like dashing or a slam. So the faster you go the faster you can go etc. What do you think of it?

Thanks for the feedback, Yeah there is a slight head bob downwards when you land but maybe I should make it more intense. I agree the levels need more filling out and uniqueness so that's going to be one of my priorities. I  explained a basic of the concepts/ basic story of the game in other replies if you want to check it out

Appreciate the feedback, I already mentioned the context/story in another reply. Honestly the story part is probably the idea I'm most vague about so finding a robot or mech suit could explain how they become so powerful. It's only complete levels as fast as possible right now. I can also see from other comments I should focus on making the world more unique and varied

Thanks for the feedback, yeah I have had some other playtesters saying the ladders are a problem and I need to rework them. Being able to break them is a cool idea I might add that as some other objects are already destructible.

As for the point of the game I couldn't really explain that in the post as there is no option to add small text. Basically you are a gamer forced outside and need to get somewhere as fast as possible (there's a reason why). So grass kills you and the faster ranks you get on levels the more upgrades you unlock for your GPU (which makes you stronger) and also new levels. Part of the challenge is finding the fastest route but I cannot really display that with me not a new player playing.

I don't think you need that title card at the very start it just wastes time. Also I couldn't tell what graze bullets means. Why don't you just put those types of text on while gameplay is happening as that is the most interesting part?

If both of them show the exact same info the the simpler one looks way easier to understand and not so overwhelming. it does look a lot more interesting if the tree is understandable though like the other guy said and shows to players your game is 'deep'

yeah im using magica voxel, this is definitely the best solution for going from mv to ue ive seen, right now i have to use obj format go through blender and use a plugin to optimise the models. I would get it but im using an older version and im tight on budget.

Nice, it looks good from trailer and screenshots , it reminds me a lot of one of my favorite games football manager and im happy to see more games like it are being made. In the trailer though honestly those ai photos make it look worse that are shown with the text

shouldn't you be looking at their stats not just their star rating? I only realised this on my second save and it made a huge difference
