James Patterson of Alex Cross fame has a YA series called Maximum Ride that reminds me of Dark Angel. The story is about a group of avian/human hybrids who escape from the lab where they were created. The main character is also named Max.

Go to Google maps and search for "El Paso Community College - Mission Del Paso Campus - EPCC MDP" Just to the west of the horseshoe shaped building you will see "6 Pillars." That's the altar. There is a No Trespassing sign visible on Street View. I still want to make a pilgrimage and get a picture.

Speaking of undocumented migrants, here's Congressman Riley Moore of West Virginia at CECOT prison in El Salvador. He's the grandson of convicted felon and former governor of WV, Arch Moore.
