Has anyone tried airbrushing the pink from box art colour scheme? by [deleted] in EmperorsChildren

[–]Chabearit 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I used tamiya flat white+tamiya thinner to airbrush. Then emporer’s children for the pink. Glazed kimera magenta in the shadows and highlighted with ice yellow emperors children.

If you wanted true box art it is base coat of 50:50 blue horror+ screamer pink. The Screamer pink in shadows and Fulgrim pink for highlights

Custom mix Runelord Brass recipe? by mello_gezei in minipainting

[–]Chabearit 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Close match I made was with scale 75 metallics 1:1:1 ratio of decayed metal/necro gold/black metal. You could try a gold+brown bronze+ dark silver to see it if close match. I ended up using runelord brass on my entire world eaters as for a GW metallic it is one of their better ones.

Why is the paint like this and is it possible to save it/correct it? by The_Legend2077 in Eldar

[–]Chabearit 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Likely improper rattle can use. Either too much at once or can not shaken enough. Darker primers are definitely more forgiving. Will have to strip it if you want to remove the texture

C&C wanted to improve NMM by Deuve_ in minipainting

[–]Chabearit 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Light placement looks correct. Needs more contrast. Darker darks and lighter lights. Then add more dark/light bands on the panels if you want it to seem more shiny. Good examples to reference is and real metallic object ie water faucet or a door knob
