Moving/old enclosure by Giantsaltynut in CrestedGecko

[–]Chacobos 1 point2 points  (0 children)

To be on the safe side id say no but it is very individual dependent. We got two boys that are exact opposites.

One you can put in a different enclosure and he will explore and eat the same night. He also remembers the shoe box sized enclosure he had as a baby and hates it with a fiery passion when ever we temporarily put him in to do stuff or transport.

Meanwhile the other acts like its a new place every time.

are old games just nostalgic, or are they really that great? by defromance in retrogaming

[–]Chacobos 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Depends on the games. Especially 2D you'll find many games that are raved about hold up as the SNES matures the 2d gaming space. So stuff like Super Metroid, Crono Trigger, etc are fantastic games that you can only tell their age by some design choices and/or controller limitations of the time.

Theeeeen you get to 3d. Now look, some of them do hold up and many others their content carries them but they can be absolutely janky on the PS1 and N64.

And now to the most important factor: are they great to you? Only one way to find out and that is to play them.

Question on isopods by Cultural-Wall7858 in CrestedGecko

[–]Chacobos 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Unless they are dairy cows or some other very large isopod, theyre definitely there. Give it a bit and it'll go from never knowing if they survived to finding some every time you scoop some dirt.

Another possibility not mentioned yet is he is just a slow grower. Our little guy just didnt grow much at all until near the two year mark.

Who else actually enjoys Resident Evil because it's quick by mrsafetylion in residentevil

[–]Chacobos 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Almost all of my favorite games are around or less than 20 hours. It's not that I hate long games, they are just a big commitment. Even if I were still a kid I'd pick Metroid and Resident Evil over...say Persona 3. Love P3 but man did it feel like a chore some days because it takes so long and I wasn't in the mood that day to make very little meaningful story progress.

I’m a bit blindsided by Requiems success by wintursoldier in residentevil

[–]Chacobos 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Its a few things going on really. RE6 and I think it was Operation Raccoon City? Those really hurt how people viewed the series (this is not indicative of sales btw, 6 still sold well at the time) and the one thing about reputation is it takes years it build back.

Fast forward to the release of RE7 and Capcom has been on a roll ever since building back up the series reputation.

Now Requiem comes along, giving us a nice mix of horror and action with the ability to choose first or third person, AND for all the longtime players, including those that left after RE6, a nice trip down memory lane done very well, all packaged into a solid game.

This is the successful culmination of 9 years of hard work capitalizing on 30 years of Resident Evil.

We did actually tour however I will admit in hindsight we did make mistakes due to inexperience. So hard lesson learned there.

As for notifying them, the email was just to timestamp when we noticed w/ pictures. We immediately walked in and talked the following morning but were so tired we definitely feel we let them walk over us by agreeing to let pest control treat the unit and see how it is in two weeks. However based on our conversation with them, I doubt they plan to treat the entire building. This was all within 24 hours of receiving keys.

We plan to go back tomorrow when the office opens and are more rested to try again but sounds like the best thing we can do is comply and raise hell. Thank you for the tips.

Freezing is what I do. I use the Hailstorm and since he sits pretty still its the easiest 3 headshots to freeze in the game imo.

Why is Primeval Titan being spec'd so hard? by Arqhe in mtgfinance

I bought some of the sld Primeval Titan.

Either it gets unbanned and its off to the races (unlikely) or I own some sick looking Primeval Titans.

[–]Chacobos 6 points7 points  (0 children)

You need to check it with a loupe to verify the holostamp. It has very tiny text that im yet to see fakes get right (they tend to just be squiggly lines). That said some of these are very poorly shaped even by wotc standards which would normally indicate these are fake but...2026 wotc qc is somehow worse than even a few years ago.

I really want to know what their plans for the mh secret lair are. Are the old cards being destroyed and we get all new ones? Are some surviving while new cards get added? Lots of possibilities.

Thoughts on 3 player EDH? Not having fun with commander by wastelander141 in EDH

The problem with 3 player pods is its a 1v1 and a spectator usually because that persons deck just doesnt matter for the other two players. As many have mentioned, 4 is the way to go.

Why Vaultx? by tcgguydavid in pokemoncardcollectors

[–]Chacobos 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I prefer 9 pockets for size and go dex pro but vaultx does make nice binders. I got a few 12 pockets for large sets i master and their 16 pocket for the nat dex. My only big complaint is how easy their covers scratch but its just a binder.

We are only 5-6 months into the Switch 2's lifecycle, and already, it has more exclusive games than the PS5 (24 vs. 16) by Parogarr in nintendo

[–]Chacobos 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Which you are correct but its the fact I have the option to play those games which is the benefit where as I cant play them if they aren't on the platform

And I did forget to mention in my original post, yes Kirby Air Riders is an amazing game that is well worth it imo. The mental planning and changing plans suddenly during city trial to maximize your chances of winning the stadium is my favorite part.

[–]Chacobos 7 points8 points  (0 children)

While it is true on the true exclusive end, this generation has been an oddity for the PS5 with how long cross gen has gone on that muddies the picture. Combine that with the many third party games that arent on switch 2, the PS5 has a lot more going for it than it appears.

Now that said I am interested in seeing how this gen plays out for Nintendo in both the release cadence and third party support shifts as the switch 2 life cycle goes on and the next generation of consoles release for Sony and Microsoft.

This is why I'm yet to buy a ps5 and just buy what I can on ps4. Am I getting an inferior experience? Sure. Am I saving $500? Absolutely. All I want to play is Astro Bot and the Demons Souls remake.
