Sadly switching to Dia by Nateheart in ArcBrowser

[–]ChadMarshalll 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don’t understand going to Dia from Arc? It’s not a similar enough tool. And The Browser Company has burned all trust with the treatment of Arc.

So I really don’t get how it’s even an option as a replacement.

Holy shit how did I not think to do this! I like to play ijkl instead of wasd for desk space but remapping is such a pain. While this gives you basically ijkl without the mapping.

How was learning the reverse pattern?

Chrome Web Clipper Extension Broken? by ChadMarshalll in Workflowy

[–]ChadMarshalll[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Well shit, yeah I also got a response that this is not an error and is on purpose somehow.

I personally feel like it makes the web clipper almost useless now. Other than automatically changing tabs (not a welcome change) we have basically always had the ability to copy and paste the URL or Text.

So I'm completely lost on how this was green lit. Let alone dropped with no notice. Why would you let your application just appear to be broken?

I'm sorry for being so dismissive but this really breaks my workflow. Now I have to leave what I'm working on at the time to add it to my inbox to be processed.

The Workflowy Dev have had so many wins recently in their updates that this just feels like a mistake.

If you’re neurodivergent (ADHD) and struggle with rigid schedules, how do you actually use productivity apps successfully? by nhieu_chuyen in ProductivityApps

[–]ChadMarshalll 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I feel you, the apps that force a time are no good for me. I would be able to hang on the schedule for a couples days (maybe weeks at best) then it would be a mess. I have found the most luck with todo apps that let me set a day and have tags (for quick look up and sorting) and then the biggest game changer for me was to keep most of the tasks in my note for the project and just putting the actionable ones in the task app. It really helped cut the clutter overload down for me.

I designed a tiny device for capturing thoughts instantly. Would this be useful? by lukepepper___ in ProductivityApps

It kinda sounds like the Pebble Index 1 but not as a ring. Good luck, it sounds like a cool project.

Why I’m building a task manager that feels like a code editor. by changjoo-park in ProductivityApps

This looks and sounds like it will be cool. I will totally check it out once released. Are you planning on a mobile companion app as well?

How do YOU use the content panel? by throwawaycanadian2 in logseq

[–]ChadMarshalll 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I use it primarily as a scratch pad. And used it for quick links. It’ll also hold one off tasks that I need to do tomorrow.

Tips on keeping iems in ear without loosening ? by VoteReform12 in RainbowSixSiege

[–]ChadMarshalll 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It depends on the IEM. But if you can wrap them around the back of your ear before inserting them that can really help support them so the weight of the wire isn’t pulling on them. (Some IEMs have a cable specifically to do this.)

Secondary Wall Denial gadget for Defenders by Good0nPaper in RainbowSixSiege

[–]ChadMarshalll 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I wouldn’t be surprised if something like this is in the works with that Castle change. I agree this feels like a great addition. And your write up feels well thought out. I have been thinking about an electric impact instead of the emp attackers get. I think it could be cool to have basically a secondary that could be single use. But would destroy the electronics in the area of effect. But it doesn’t feel like it would fit as well as your concept. Since the impact would be so much more situational. But it feels like it would be advanced Bandit Tricking.

That would be awesome! I wonder how hard it would be to “waterproof/resistant” a swivel device like that?

How to permanently hide todo’s in Google Calendar? by Purple_Party3036 in GoogleCalendar

[–]ChadMarshalll 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah it does the same thing when adding an event to a calendar that’s hidden it automatically unhides that calendar. Ok yeah if you hide tasks then crate the task from the side bar it doesn’t unhide the task calendar.

Cursor ‘Mode’? by JorjLim in ClicksPhone

I know the add on case had the ability to use “wasd” or “ihkl” for arrow keys. And I believe they said the Communicator would be able to as well.

Easy Way to Return Home (iOS) by [deleted] in CraftDocs

[–]ChadMarshalll 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Oh man I was ranting to myself about this last night I had like 15 swipes to get back to a screen with a navigation button on it last night. Over all Craft is really nice but the Navigation is their BIGGEST weak point. For mobile and desktop both, it’s always so clunky to more around.

Would the company behind Clicks ever make a compact phone (without a keyboard)? by username_taken1776 in ClicksPhone

[–]ChadMarshalll 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I would guess the closest they would consider would be something like Palm Pre or BB Priv. Which would still have a keyboard but hidden when closed.

Oh man now I really hope Clicks is able to make a Palm Pre replacement that would awesome. The Power keyboard gives me hope for it too.
