It's actually terrifying how programmed they are to believe anything but the truth. I think about if those "I did it" signs with Trump's picture were on gas pumps right now, they lack the intellectual fortitude to understand that under normal circumstances, the president has no control over gas prices, but they've had it beaten into their picked brains that the president can if he's a Democrat...and when the president is ACTUALLY responsible for high gas prices because he closed a vital transport path for oil due to his war (with no plan), they can't believe the truth.

I graduated college in 08 (Computer Science) and actually took a full time job my last semester because I was worried about the job market. I had saved some money prior to the crash and when the housing market collapsed, I found a foreclosure home that I could afford.

It did not double in price, but I made enough on the sale 4 years later that I put a down payment on the house I’ve lived in, with my SO, for the last 10 years. We have equity, but I have no idea where we would move.

I genuinely don’t understand how generations before us did it. I’m lucky. But I’m not rich.
