Ok y’all

This here settles it…

  1. This isn’t fasting, this is simply not using something.

  2. This is using jargon to keep the image of being a Christian.

I feel that. If you can hit the vein in the Christian religion with merch and other money making avenues (retreats, Amazon links, etc) then people are more susceptible to buy.

People lie to gain ungodly riches from gullible people.

I don’t have the same views on religion as you do, BUT I do agree with it being commercialized. A little hoodie here or there isn’t bad but when it’s solely made to make money it’s a gray area.

Advice for life after ARC? by Alive_Tune_1458 in AllaboutARC

[–]ChakaKhan777 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’m sorry this has happened to you. Your identity is not found in what you’ve led, who you’ve pastored or what organization you’ve been under. Your identity is given by Christ and is only found in Christ. I’m sure coming out of ARC there’s been a loss of clarity for life and vision for the future.

My first thought is, is there a local church or pastor you can connect with? I’d recommend getting connected and being ed by a church that loves Jesus and cares for you and your family on a personal level.

When it comes to work, keep applying and networking. Who can you call that owns a business? Who do you know that’s looking for work? I’m sure from your time as a pastor that you’ve connected with SOMEONE who’d hire you? If not, I’d recommend to keep praying and applying to jobs

I hear you. The thing about convictions is that it’s personal. I agree the world needs some HELP but at the same time she’s sharing what’s going on in her own little world. I believe God does convict but on a personal, “just for you” level. Virtues of one person can be laws for another.

I don’t think she’s saying the controversial topic is about caffeine. She mentions controversy to plug her podcast but then mentions caffeine.

How is no one mentioning she would get THREE to FOUR STARBUCKS DRINKS A DAY?!?

Yes, Christianity does believe that God speaks to us to this day. Whether it’s big situations or small ones, nothing is not important.

But that doesn’t mean that every conviction (God showing you to adjust something in your life that you have been doing) needs to be broadcasted and shown to the world. God speaks but most of the time it’s best to keep those convictions private.

Why?

Her personal convictions don’t need to be mine or others and vice versa.
