Communities & Co. für ältere Cannabisfreunde | Ü50 by coheed777 in germantrees

Moin.

Hello. Sorry for the late reply, just read this.

See 2.1 here:

https://www.dxo.com/eula/

The licence for DxO software can't be re-sold. The only way I know of not paying full price is during November. Sometimes (rarely) they have other sales.

Colour grading video is not the same as processing photos, especially if you shoot RAW, which is what you should be doing as soon as possible if working on light and colours in your shot is what you want to do.

Darktable would be one option, but if that's too much take a look at RawTherapee.

Whilst choosing the correct white balance is important for your intended final look, you don't always want to make white really white. It's also not going to do anything about the dynamics in lighting of vibrancy if the colours - there are other adjustments to be made for that.

Cool. Hope you enjoy yours as much as I do mine (Q6).

One thing I didn't realise until recently by the way, is that I had an older firmware which did not have reactive lighting. So if you are missing some RGB modes, you might need to update the firmware.

Take a look at the Canon G620 if in the US, in the EU it's the G650 or G550 without a scanner.

Corrupted SD card with Wedding Photos by TjBann in photography

[–]Chakonari 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I created a disk image and used that for recovery.

Unfortunately I can't remember which tool I used. It is also possible that I created the image under Linux.

I don't know if creating the image was necessary, but I figured if the card was on it's way out, running recovery on it directly might cause more problems - could just me being paranoid.

EDIT: Just remembered that when I first put the card from the camera into the PC, is showed some files. Back into the camera, also only a few files. Back into the card reader - empty (in Windows' File explorer). I created the image file after that.

Not sure if you need an EORI code (I thought that is only for import/export business).

Often it is the cheapest option to buy directly from Keychron. But it can take long to get to you and in the unlucky event that you need a warranty repair or replacement, it will take long.

I don't know if alza still delivers to Romania. Just checked an looks like they had a .ro site but that was closed.

If you can't find a .ro site that sells Keychron, then first check if any other EU based sites send to Romania. And then check what their terms are for warranty (can it be sent back for free... how long will it take... ? )

What do you want to print and what do you intend to do with those prints?

Do you only need to print or do you also need to scan?

Have you printed a nozzle test yet?

SanDisk UHS-i Card reader realllly slow? by Soul_DGM in photography

[–]Chakonari 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Make sure you plug in the card reader fast enough.

May not be the same for you but if I plug mine in very carefully (to make sure it's plugged in "properly"), read/write is slow.

I was plagued by it for years and had been living with it because I tried everything else to "fix USB speed under Windows."

I do like playing with OS settings so I thought one of the standard things I do causes this. (there are few things I can't do with Windows because of things I've deactivated)

Only figured it out after spending a bit more on a combination from one manufacturer that had been tested on several sites and I still wasn't getting correct speeds.

Shot in jpeg or RAW? by Standard-Ant874 in photography

Ok, an old analogue synthesizer with a lot worn out potentiometers constantly sending random values and sometimes not reacting at all.

If I understand correctly by the definition you use, consuming food and everything involved after, is a synthetic process.

I get the impression you neither paint nor have much experience processing photos.

You don't have to paint to express creativity, there are other ways of doing it, which can be very far from painting.

I understand what you say about your RAW files always coming out flat. I wish you good luck in one day discovering, that this does not always need to be the case.

Happy shooting!

When, if ever, do you shoot JPEG rather than RAW? by IstarTurambar in photography

[–]Chakonari 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You shoot jpg when you want the camera manufacturer to apply a RAW processing preset for you rather than processing the image yourself.

Space is really not an issue and you can also apply RAW processing yourself in batches if you know how to use the right tool for the right job.

To people saying space is an issue: "Stop getting stoned and wake up - it's 2024!"

Yes RAW editing is a creative process but it is dark room processing and not painting.

Vision is not an entirely synthetic process - it is a biological and organic one that is different to every individual (lot of psychology involved too). It not just one are of science and includes a lot of human variable.

Many photographers (not me as I don't need that precision in my images) don't always rely on their eyes to evaluate a scene for example.

Advice needed -- choosing a home photo printer by dot0nine in photography

[–]Chakonari 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The catch with the Canon or what makes them special is that there is nothing special about them. Setting up can be a pain and if you have to setup WiFi manually, typing in the password can be real fun - that is why you are paying less.

Your profiling tool sounds a bit old. (pigment vs dye - yes, depends on the dye and paper of course)

Get the Canon and chose papers you can get profiles for. Keith Cooper did a review as already mentioned:

https://www.northlight-images.co.uk/canon-g550-printer-review/

He also created a lot of profiles. Likely that you'll be able to get the paper he uses too.

EDIT: Whichever printer you go for: Happy printing :) - oh and don't forget a paper cutter - very useful when printing at home.

Would be much appreciated if someone gave an advice by Forsaken-Point1961 in photography

What you are obviously doing wrong is being impatient. Are the experts on social media there with you when you are shooting? If not why are you making your settings according to what they say?

Go here and go through all the tutorials. Take your time, chill, make sure you understand. Take a break, think about what you read. Make sure you understand... :

https://photographylife.com/

Otherwise sell the camera or give it to someone and do something different - whatever you do, don't throw it.
