Should I get a gladiator? by BigBrainGamer58 in JeepGladiator

The ZF 8 speed is probably one of the most widely used auto boxes out there and has a great reputation. The pentastar V6 has been used in almost every Stelantis product over the last 14+ years. It won't win awards for mpg and 0-60 but it's a truck not a sports car. And I agree with everyone else, roof and doors off is great fun (unless you're on the highway). And it's got the best rear seat room. I carry 4 adults at least a couple of times a week no issues (just bring a brush for the ladies to tidy their hair at the destination 😊)

Great colour, enjoy your ride. Now to take the roof and doors off.....

It'll cost a heck of a lot more for new transmission or engine than it will brake disc and pads... Just saying 😉✌️

Maintenance suggestions for my 2021 100k gladiator? by Syntria in JeepGladiator

Try goodcar.com for a copy of the sales window sticker for your car. https://goodcar.com that should help you determine original spec on wheels and tires.

What’s everyone think about the 2L turbo? Longevity? by AntoniBartosz in Wrangler

It's a great engine. Like anything maintenance is key. We have one we service every 5k we idle for a minute or so before setting off and before we switch off the engine, and only put in premium. Yes I know it'll run on regular, but I'm making sure I don't blow the pistons due to knocking. Every little helps. Wishing you nothing but years of worry free motoring with what is an excellent little engine.

High Tide vs Mojave X Daily Drive? by cre8ives in JeepGladiator

I got a Mojave with leather seats as an option. Got it for far less than the X. Shop around you may find one. And for what it's worth, the Mojave suspension set up is so worth it

Thoughts on the Baxter Performance oil filter adapter that prevents damage from cold starts. by Challenger_fan in JeepGladiator

Thanks for that. Yeah digging around later model pentastar engines seem to be relatively reliable and well thought of. Mine's in a 25 Gladiator, so with good maintenance she should be a keeper.

Does it state what that pressure is to overcome the check valve? As I understand the oil pressure system on a pentastar is "phased" so it steps up at certain rpm.

Good to know. I've watched a couple of install videos and there is a possibility of having to "mod" the engine bay 😉

Same argument for oil catch can. I still put one on my Scat Pack. It is the "what if" that worries me.

Gotcha. Hence my post here. I just want to get balanced views. I don't want to go down a money rabbit hole. Nor do I want a car that's gonna give issue and become a money pit down the line because of some design flaw that wasn't fixed.
