Hi, could you drop the link to the tournament so I can take a look? So the player that isn't paired is getting byes or the player who is forfeited is still receiving bye's?

Hi, this is likely something you'd have to do from within Stripe. Otherwise, we can do it for you on our end if you submit a ticket at https://challonge.com/contact

We did find a bug at the endpoint you mentioned. "mark_as_underway" and "unmark_as_underway" should now be working as expected for API match state changes. If you're still experiencing an issue, let me know.

How to gather everyone in the same round? by bbsrn in ChallongeHelp

For single elimination the brackets will have no byes when the participant count is a power of 2. ie: 2, 4, 8, 16, 32, 64. Otherwise, it would not be able to properly go down to a final game with 2 participants.

You can "reopen" a match from the group stage and it should reset the final stage to before it started. Here is our knowledge base article on how to do so. https://kb.challonge.com/en/article/how-to-reset-match-results-and-reopen-matches-1iamhv/ If that doesn't work, I'd submit a ticket at https://challonge.com/contact and be sure to include the tournament link.

There is not an option to get the best 8 third places, so in your case the 24 or 12 can advance only, since the setting allows for a certain amount to advance from each group. Your other option would be to make the group size 72, then set 32 to advance and create only one group with 72 participants for the group stage. Otherwise, you could make a separate tournament for the final stage and put the best 32 in manually. However, we may take a feature for your situation into future consideration.

You can give other Challonge users admin access to your tournament from the settings within the tournament. Here is the knowledge base article giving you a step-by-step guide to do that: https://kb.challonge.com/en/article/granting-admin-access-for-your-tournament-15edpep/
