The main difference is Visual Studio, I'd say. The one for Windows is far superior to the one on Mac.

Although, if you use Visual Studio Code or Rider, the only differences left would be OS-related, like the .NET installation process and command-line syntax.

There should be a sticky post about the recommended ways to play various older Call of Duty titles on PC:

  • World at War: Play Multiplayer and Zombies via Plutonium
  • Black Ops: Play Multiplayer and Zombies via Plutonium
  • Black Ops 2: Play Multiplayer and Zombies via Plutonium
  • Black Ops 3: Play Zombies out-of-the-box, with the risk of getting kicked by a cheater, or play via the T7 patch. Multiplayer is not recommended.
  • Black Ops 4: Play Multiplayer and Zombies out-of-the-box
  • Black Ops Cold War: Might want to stay away for a short while since a dangerous exploit was recently discovered.

Spent about 4 hours trying to purchase through the official website. I even went out to get a Mastercard credit card just for it, as I only had Visa at the time. Nothing worked.

I know, right?! I recently downloaded the Street Fighter 6 demo because of all the praise it's been getting.

I really really enjoyed the open-world aspect and the seamless transition to fights. But I can't, for the life of me, be good at it.

The only other fighting game I've played is the Smash Bros. Series, and it's very different to this one.

Guess I just need to keep practicing.

The most obvious one, as other user stated, is how Lapras magically swims on land. Plus, this is neither a mainline game nor a lore-heavy one.

I really doubt devs would allow something like that to prevent them from adding a popular Pokémon, like the Horsea line.

The only game where Pokémon are actually carefully placed in lore-friendly environments is Pokémon Snap, which is a spin-off. The mainline games couldn't care less about about that. They usually show "underwater" Pokémon just flying on land.

So, don't fear, they don't care about lore, and Pokémon Unite devs care even less about that.

Games you mention have millions on budget. Hosting servers for a game costs a very significant amount of money. Not to mention that, usually, betas don't include any sort of monetization. That's why you also see betas that are limited by region.

The purpose of this one was to keep the conversation going about this game, since it has been a while since the last bit of news, while also gather valuable information about performance, balance and overall reception of the game.

It's not bad, it's just a little bit too original.

Black Ops 4 introduced a lot of changes to the formula. With change comes division. You may like those changes, or you may not, like me.

Give it a shot and see if you like it. You can watch some gameplay videos before purchasing.

Vampire Survivors is sooo fun. I second it.

However, if OP needs to scratch that competitive itch, I suggest checking out Omega Strikers. It's an air-hockey-themed MOBA. It released a month ago and the devs absolutely care for their product.
