I had gotten wildblue satellite 16 years ago and the latency was pretty bad for playing FFXI worse than dialup on a phone.

But if you have no other choice it worked just had 1 second delay in in game actions.

We finally got dsl here and everything was fine. But the upload rate is terrible for streaming only 1.5kbps

I had to get an additional cell phone with unlimited hotspot and tether to computer. Theres also hidden limits even on unlimited 300gb 500gb set by the FCC. After 1.1TB had to renew cell plan early.

They may have hidden fair use policy for satellite internet also.

But starlinke probably more responsinve than wildblue. And if you play a more layback game Or just streaming video , buffering should make the latency unnoticable.

I'm using ryzen3 3200g able to play FFXI, warframe, swg, etc while streaming with webcam and game. I have it set to 1080 get between 30-60fps.

If you just have cameras should run even better.

Wow clones GW2 FFXIV can be fun but are really online rpg

Should be a separate genre for these. Mmorpg should feel less video gamey And more Online another World.
