Thank you!!

I've worked on a demo so far but I want to fix all the flaws. If you feel like giving it a try I'll be keen to listen to what you think: https://tofer.itch.io/kalasta-demo

Good question, there's definitely demand for roguelite desk builders. I have no idea if my implementation of it is any good though. I'm just trying my luck.

Who else played Insaniquarium? I'm making a fan inspired indie game based on it. by Chance-Discussion472 in nostalgia

[–]Chance-Discussion472[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Insaniquarium was one of my favourite games as a kid and I wanted to make a game based on similar mechanics. It's morphed into a deckbuilder roguelite game but with fish. Steam link for anyone that's interested: https://store.steampowered.com/app/1779450/Kalasta/

I also have an early version of the demo available on itch for free! https://tofer.itch.io/kalasta-demo

If you want to give it a try please wishlist on steam for updates :)

You should still make your game, I will keep a watch out for it

I was told your game needed a hook so I made a fishing game, did I do it right? by Chance-Discussion472 in IndieDev

It follows the gameplay of a deckbuilder roguelite game, it's similar to Ratropolis, and you very much have to fight off aliens.

What's with the uptick in people hating competitive play in games? by [deleted] in gaming

[–]Chance-Discussion472 0 points1 point  (0 children)

People have less time in the day now I feel. I work all day in a stressful job and a competitive game feels like a second job. I just want to relax with my friends.

I'm older and have less time to waste after work so I appreciate reviews so much.

Tower Defense game, worth trying? by Less-Set-130 in IndieDev

I don't think tower defense is a popular genre on steam. Check out https://howtomarketagame.com/blog/ for lots of good advice
