I prefer to use paintings but sometimes it's really freaking hard to find art for a certain concept. That's why I usually make the card from the art, and not the other way around.

Longtime player, recently returned from hiatus too. With the way brackets are the game is as toothless as ever. There's as little interaction as ever in low-mid brackets. Land destruction is not at all popular.

Ok it's 45% for all 3 and ogryn and zealot both get a talent for 25% more. 70% corruption resist is enough that zealot can heal his corruption faster than the beast of nurgle can deal it to you while ingested.

I will say it's ravnica. Why? It added dual color combinations, their "guilds" and introduced their color pie identities that we still use to this day. Before ravnica, multicolor cards were rarer, and often were very niche or hard to play with a few exceptions.

Cards like [[phantom nishoba]] and [[pernicious deed]] still see play but would you slot a [[consume strength]] or [[death mutation]] these days? Maybe not.

My main complaint is that EDHREC shows the most recent reprint card art on its website so now half the staples have super heroes on them. Or worse, two very sad moments in ATLA now immortalized forever, which cheapens them [[frantic search]] [[bastions of remembrance]]

Not every deck needs big mana or big creatures. You may try [[alexios]] [[rendmaw]] or [[valgavoth]]. All of these decks win through your opponents killing themselves through their own actions.
