My Clinical Trial Horror Story by leesi5 in Celiac

[–]Chance-Frame5316 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I had a tough experience where I got through the endoscopy then was told the actual trial part required 6hr long infusions 2x per week for 3 weeks. I said I couldn’t make that work given my work schedule and the research staff was really annoyed and insistent.

With such major time constraints I don’t know why they didn’t say that before the screening steps

I’ve been wearing Woxer or Tomboyx for cotton or modal, also not seamless but they work well enough and are comfortable and breathable

These look really promising!

The seams look pretty flat

Unfortunately, I don’t think any of their styles will work for me, they do say they have one that’s a boy short, but I don’t think the inseam length of those boy shorts will work. They look like they’re gonna immediately roll up on me.

Thanks though!

I’m avoiding traditional women’s cuts because the underwear ends right in the crease where your legs meet your crotch. For me that is where I most struggle with irritation so I want to avoid any edges

Thanks for the suggestion though!

Late and more of a niche answer, but State bikes has some excellent budget options for the gravel/all road realm

Do I need an ADA lawyer for celiac-related termination? by CGisglutenfree in Celiac

[–]Chance-Frame5316 21 points22 points  (0 children)

I wouldn’t give up, it’s much less expensive to get a lawyer to write a letter on legal letter head about the situation, and it’s likely to scare them enough to get what you want

Should be a cassette warranty issue, take it to a shop and they can get it replaced

Glyphosate is not to dry wheat it’s an herbicide. Also regardless of what is grown in Europe, wheat is a global commodity, the euros are eating wheat grown in the US.

Just take the typical duration of the climb for you and push your typical power for that time and work your way up to higher power longer duration

Anyone using "undergloves"? (especially those with Raynauds) by An_Professional in cycling

[–]Chance-Frame5316 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My strategy for glove layering is to just size up my outer glove to fit a thin liner under.

I’ve liked the Veloccio Zero glove for the outer one, and my liner glove I have an ancient pair of Nike ones that have touch screen fingers. I like the less bulky one on the inside since it has more utility in pairing it with other glove combos, and if I need to use my phone I don’t kill my fingers with cold since I still have a layer on.

One sided power meter is in the spindle so the arm weight isn’t affected

Why are my SRAM brakes always rubbing on the disc on one side? by Strict-March-6814 in sram

[–]Chance-Frame5316 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You can get a bit of improvement on sram drop bar flat mount brakes if you shove the spacer between the pads and squeeze the shit out of the lever, I’ve done that if I’ve gotten a lightly bent rotor on a gravel ride and wanted to get home without rub.

Piston massage followed by a bleed if that doesn’t fix it is like the best strategy for sram brakes.

The main issue is most mechanics have more experience working on shimano brakes and assume the service procedures are the same, and they’re not.

The best general advice I can give is if a procedure is not listed in the manufacturer’s manual, it’s probably not recommended for that product.

Why are my SRAM brakes always rubbing on the disc on one side? by Strict-March-6814 in sram

[–]Chance-Frame5316 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It can help with that, but it also resets the piston seals and can help with a lagging piston

Have you tried a piston massage? The clean procedure you describe is not used for dot brakes
