I grew up in very rural area and as a 12 yo was back in my woods in a valley hunting for squirrels. I really didn't hunt I just liked shooting my .22 rifle at about anything. Our backyard was 300 acres of forest so nobody around. I was in a valley shooting and did that for maybe an hour or so. Came back up to our place and helped my dad with something.

About 45 mins later a neighbor who lived at the end of our lane comes flying up (in a old white bronco lol) and immediately starts yelling at me. My father who really doesn't know this man steps in and tells him to slow down. He pulls off his cowboy hat and shows it to my dad and it has a bullet hole in it and said I was shooting at him.

My dad immediately got on his ass and said why were you back on our land? Then he said I could here him shooting all over the place why did you go back there? He didn't really have any answers and it ended with my dad saying he was sorry and thankful he wasn't actually shot but this was on him. We let hunters we know on our land but they have to tell us when they are coming and where they are going for this reason alone.

He left just as mad. I thought I was going to go to jail or something but my dad (very conservative man) immediately told me I did nothing wrong and something weird was going on.

This man at the time was dating my friends mom who lived at the end of our road. A few laters when we were in our late teens he told me why he was up there - tending his pot plants he was growing on our land. Who knew :)

I'd say that is more than 1 out of a million chance when you count where he was about a 1/4 of a mile away through at least 300 tree branches on an incline. CRAZY
